2015 DODGE DURANGO- CABOT, AR
Passenger side head rest popped open while my wife was driving my grandson home from school. He (grandson) was leaning slightly forward getting something out of his backpack so it didn't hit his head. after they got home I looked at it (headrest) and noticed broken plastic (see pictures). We bought the SUV in 2016 at a local Dodge car lot and we are the 2nd owner.we haven't had any problems with it since we owned it. There was no accident at the time it popped. We are in our early 70s and concerned that the driver side might do the same and possibly hit our head.My wife said it made a loud noise and sprung out hard.

THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SEAT JUST POPPED OPEN WHILE WE WERE DRIVING. THE REAR VIEW CAMERA OFTEN DOESN'T RESPOND IMMEDIATELY WHEN WE PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE OR JUST STAYS BLACK FOR AWHILE. NAVIGATION IS SLOW SOMETIMES. IT SEEMS TO BE THE THE SYSTEM KEEPS ON RESETTING BECAUSE MY RADIO STATIONS ARE ERASED WHEN I TURN ON THE CAR. THE REPROGRAM AND IT CONTINUES TO DO THAT. WHEN WE ARE DRIVING THERE IS A SOUND COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD. LIKE A RATTLELING SOUND. WE STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT WHAT IT IS. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WE ARE DRIVING AND IT SEEMS LIKE A GEAR IS SHIFTED WHEN WE DID NOT STEP ON THE GAS.

Water in tail lights. (Race track lighting) Yes, water in race track burns out rear lights causing a hazard for vehicles following not able to notice the vehicle in front. Replaced multiple times. Same outcome. (Water leakage) lights burnt out. It’s been inspected by dealership and ASC certified mechanics. No warning when the race track lights go out. Only way to notice is when you start to see water build up in the race track lighting.

The Blinker arm at the steering wheel has broken internally to where its useless taking my high beams, turn signals, wipers and everything else they put on it to not function properly. When I asked the dealership for a repair quote I was told the part is on back order due to high demand. When I looked at third party dealers the same issues no one has this part. I could see if this was a older car but if their blinker arm is breaking so much they can't keep a part in stock or tell you when it van be available should a safety concern. Also their design makes the blinker arm replacement 850 for part and 600 for labor. This shows poor design and poor craftsmanship in their parts

With hard acceleration, engine begins to overheat with temp gauge going all the way up to H, triggering overheating warning on instrument cluster. Vehicle ran normal, under any driving condition, up until 2-3 months ago when incident first occurred. I believe this is a major safety issue and other drivers are having the same issue. I believe this warrants a recall to ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers.

Rear row seatbelt failed and no longer retracts. This happened at 60k miles with occasional use. Many users Report seatbelt problems in the driver, passenger and second row which is currently covered under an extended warranty. There’s a tIck on the engine, sometimes there’s a strong smell of gasoline and idle is rough. There’s been a P0302 code. It’s already been inspected and a lot of components replaced but nothing seems to fix it. After research there’s plenty of people with this same problem apparently caused by premature rocker arms wear.
