2015 DODGE DURANGO Complaints

The taillights on my vehicle have developed a leak for water to enter the housing, and cause them to burn out. This is common amongst all early model years 2014 and even up to the current model year. This is a manufacturer defect and poses a serious safety concern. Drivers behind me may not be able to see my brake lights if they are burned out. The housing is for led lights and is VERY expensive, it should have been sealed better for the life of the vehicle. Again, this is a very serious problem and deserves to be investigated properly. Active headrest deployed while driving, hitting me in the back of the head. Tried to adjust headrest, but it seems to be stuck.

Active headrest suddenly engaged. Headrest propelled forward. Active headrest is now inactive. Headrest is broken and open.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the rear exterior taillights failed to operate as designed. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact discovered corrosion on both taillight assemblies and on the rear license plate lights. The contact discovered that the failure was caused by excessive moisture build-up in the rear taillight assemblies. The contact initially called the local dealer and was informed that there were no recalls on the Vin. The contact was then referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the Vin was not under recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the front driver’s seat headrest erroneously deployed causing a slight headache to the driver. No medical treatment was required. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 67,000. The VINN was not available.

I was leaning against my driver seat to grab my son from out the backseat when the driver seat headrest popped open

I was driving down the road with my wife in the front passenger seat when I heard a loud bang, thinking something stuck the rear passenger side of the vehicle. There was nothing there, but I noticed that the Active Head Restraint had deployed. Fortunately, my wife was leaning forward at the time. I tried to reset, but the plastic brackets holding the steel pin were broken thus not allowing me to reset.

While driving to work this morning, I was suddenly hit so hard in the back of the head, my face almost hit the steering wheel. The hit to my head caused me to swerve almost hitting two cars in the lane next to me. I thought I had just been in a car accident! Once it was safe for me to pull over I saw that the driver side headrest deployed. There were no signs or warnings this was about to happen and we have never had problems with the seats. I have not taken it to the dealer or had the seat inspected by anyone as it just happened this morning. The consumer stated Dodge dealership, who informed them that warranty is extended for the headrest until 2026. The part is being ordered and consumer is currently waiting for the part.

My wife was driving and the active headrestrant deployed on me for no reason shot my head forward this happen just with her driving nothing happen no accidents or anything I have had headaches since this has happened

DODGE "RACETRACK LIGHTING" HAS CRACKS AT UPPER LEFT AND UPPER RIGHT CORNERS. CAUSING WATER TO ENTER HOUSING AND SHORT OUT A SECTION OF LIGHTS. THANKFULLY IT HAS NOT CAUGHT FIRE. I SEE THE SAME SECTION OF LIGHTS OUT ON OTHER DODGE DURANGOS. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE "CRACK" WAS CAUSED BY ME AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT AND THE COST WOULD COME OUT OF MY POCKET. WHEN INSPECTED THE CRACKS ARE UNIFORM IN SHAPE AND SIZE.
