2015 DODGE DURANGO Complaints

Rear gasket on tail light assembly is faulty and causes water to leak in to rear running light and the light fails and doesn't work anymore. I'm requesting an investigation or recall on the rear assembly to have them fixed or replaced for safety and uniformity. The OEM part number is 68453659AA

Transmission, 845RE, showed moist casing and oil pan. Inspected and removed transmission to discover a stress fracture in top housing/casing of the transmission. Unable to repair or replace due to no replacements available through any supply source.

Audible ticking noise from valve train. Upon further inspection a discovered a damaged roller follower. Cause of damage was the failure of the needle bearings within the roller follower

The transmission shifts extremely hard from 1st to 2nd gear so hard it feels like you've been hit from behind. The jerk is so extreme I believe it could cause an accident. It is unsafe for dodge to leave this a problem. The problem is very well known a simple Google search shows there is alot of people with this problem. It also shifts hard from 6 to 5th gear and 4th to 3rd and 3rd to 2nd gear not as extreme as 1st to 2nd but hard enough to say wtf was that. I've had it looked at twice and they always claim to not feel it which is more of we don't want to do the warranty work. The technician even said dodge doesn't want to do anything unless the transmission is just inoperable. This is horrible to deal with and something needs to be done asap.

Oil Filter Housing Cracked resulting in a major oil leak . My vehicle just turned 120,000 miles this is the 2nd Durango I have owned that has developed the same issue. The first time it ended up with an engine knock this time I hope to have caught it soon enough

The headrests deployed randomly even though there was no accident to cause it. This puts others at risk as it can potentially lead to minor head injuries if the driver and passenger are driving. Problem was never accessed by dealer or insurance, but other owners of Chrysler made products have reported this issue. There has been no warnings anywhere, just a mechanical issue in the headrest.

The racetrack style light on the back of my vehicle has water buildup on the inside. It has started to burn out the light. The unit is still partially functional so it's not available for inspection. The left license plate light on my vehicle doesn't function due to the corrosion inside the connector as well. This is a safety risk due to other driver not being able to see my Vehicle clearly during night or other conditions. There were no warning indicators on the dash about this issue. The Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than myself.

The rear back light in my dodge Durango went out on it own and I've seen multiple Durango with the same issue . I’ve attached example . Ive seen multiple cars with this same issue so there has be manufacturers issue

Brakes front and rear suspension this suv has had rear struts put on within 2 months twice when coming to a stop it is hard to stop had front brakes rotors installed but when braking it continues for a minute then it stops I have had this suv checked and it's wearing brakes and rear end issues

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the front passenger's seat headrest deployed inadvertently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the front passenger's seat was unoccupied at the time of the failure. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
