All four struts are leaking and causing erratic handling when rough roads are encountered. FORD has known of this problem for several years and refuses to replace after their base warranty, even though I have a full coverage extended warranty. If a consumer doesn't realize they have a defective suspension it could lead to their death. FORD has a service bulletin out on this problem. - strut, yes -yes -yes -yes -no, leakage of oil on garage floor

While driving down the road, my vehicle suddenly drops from a higher gear down to 2nd. When this happens, the RPMs jump very high and the engine revs very high. While this is happening, I have no control and I can't use the gas pedal and am losing speed. The vehicle seems to be stalling. There are two messages that flash on the screen. "Shift system fault" and "see Manual". Neither are in the manual. I have taken it to Ford and after a day, they said nothing is wrong and collect almost $200. I took it in before my 75,000-mile transmission warranty was out. They said they have never heard of such a problem. I have now research it have found many people with the same on expeditionforum.com. It happens on a daily basis now and it's my only car and my learner car for my 15 year old. It WILL cause an accident. I did finally get it on videa and will make another attempt with FORD next week.

All lenses on the front headlights have stress cracks forming in the corner of the housing. This has allowed moisture and condensation to build inside the housing and is altering the light output.

The Ford series of Trucks/SUVs from 2018-2022 are equipped with an Automatic Start/Stop feature which turns off the engine when the brake is depressed, and the engine is idling. On 4 occasions in the last month, when releasing the brake to start accelerating from a stop, the vehicle's engine has completely stalled/turned off disabling the vehicle and requiring the vehicle to be shifted in to park, restarted, and then attempted to drive. This causes an obvious safety risk if turning in front of traffic, vehicles behind you moving, etc.. When researching this online there are multiple complaints on this issue, specifically for the F-150 which uses the same components. Ford will not admit there is an issue and refuses to respond to owner complaints on this obvious safety risk. I would ask that the NHTSA looks further into this issue and the risk to consumers.

Returned vehicle to dealer and when told vehicle was ready it made 15 miles prior to overheating and ceasing to accelerate out of traffic endangering lives. These are the last 2 times vehicle was returned. 2 prior when we were told the vehicle was ok and loss of acceleration, grinding, jerking were normal. Vehicle currently at dealer. Communication with Ford with little assistance. Prior to these failures were cam phasers with 4 similar failures and almost burned my garage down. The main interface screen for GPS, Radio, Bluetooth (hands free phone operation), backup camera, and other vehicle settings, is malfunctioning and frequently non-responsive. This is tied to a faulty ACCESSORY PROTOCOL INTERFACE MODULE (APIM), also known as the SYNC 3 Module. Research on the issue shows this is a common issue with Ford Vehicles. The fixes reported in TSB 20-2255 05 August 2020 have been completed, the issues are persisting. The failure of this item creates safety issues with operating the vehicle. The vehicle started to rough shift. Then it started to not shift into gear, and the engine will rev as if in neutral instead of in gear. This has resulted in abrupt loss of power and the vehicle actually shutting down completely requiring restart. I called my Ford dealer (Columbia, TN) when it started shifting rough. They told me it was 2mos out for transmission issues. I called another Ford dealer in Franklin, TN whom also said months before they could see it. They referred me to a local transmission shop. That shop Coleman transmission, said these transmission in 2018&2019 are notorious for failing and were redesigned by 2020, that he had many just like mine awaiting rebuild. So I started researching, and I’m not alone, and many have had this exact same extremely dangerous situation of losing power, and car shutting down repeatedly.
