2021 FORD F-150- Prairieville, LA
The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the exhaust baffles were making an abnormal ticking sound while the vehicle was idling. The contact also stated that the A/C outlet vent tab had separated from the vehicle, and the other tabs were loose. Additionally, the contact stated that while accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitated while responding. The contact stated that the vehicle made an abnormal squealing sound while driving at various speeds and while idling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the serpentine belt and one of the pulleys needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact the repairs could not be covered under the powertrain warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.

My f150 has 47k miles and it’s been serviced every time it was supposed to and the engine failed. Oil leaking into the engine destroyed it. I looked up 2021 F150 v8 coyote engine and it’s a known issue

The contact stated that the infotainment center displayed a black screen. The contact stated that during one failure, the infotainment center screen displayed a black screen; however the radio continued to play. The contact stated that the vehicle was turned off. The vehicle was started, and the system independently reset. In addition, the contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the engine was idling roughly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the contact stated that the computer system was reprogrammed, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. In addition, the contact feared driving the vehicle with his family inside the vehicle due to the failure. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V315000 (Back Over Prevention) and 25V455000 (Fuel system, Gasoline); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. If the driver or front passenger exit the front doors using the mechanical inside release handles, the doors may remain locked when they are closed. This may result in an unexpected lock-out condition for the driver and front passenger without the ability to immediately re-enter the vehicle.

The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V315000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION) and 25V455000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while her friend was driving, the rearview camera turned off while the vehicle was in reverse(R). The contact stated that the failure compromised the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that an unknown message about the brakes was displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while her friend was driving 55 MPH, the vehicle vibrated abnormally, and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact was informed by another driver that the front headlights were not functioning as intended. The contact stated that when the vehicle was parked, the contact inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the front headlights were extremely dim. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed with headlight assembly failures. The contact was informed that the headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

Drove it out to CA from Texas. Purchased for Planet Ford who told me the truck was k to drive and no axel problem. Drove it out to CA from Texas when we moved in late April - after that went to Santa Barbara and dashboard controls went dead. Speedometer and may other controls stopped working. Truck felt sluggish. Took it into Tuttle Click Ford Lincoln in Irvine and they said they real axel was about to fall off and took the truck away. They've had it for a month and said they may have it for another 2-4 week or longer.

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 45-50 MPH on the freeway, the navigation screen turned blank, and the speedometer decreased to zero. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear end of the vehicle was detaching. The dealer determined that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The vehicle was then taken to unknown local dealer, where it was determined that the rear axle was in good condition. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and denied the contact's buyback request. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

1: HEADLIGHT : vertical sealed beam went out. 2: yes it sure ready for inspection. 3: reduced lighting in the front driver side at night. 4 : yes, was brought to the dealership. was told the whole headlight needs to be replaced in order to fix the issue. 5: only warning was the day before it was dim. the next day it was completely out. last week of May 2025.
