2019 FORD F-150 Complaints

Harsh and erratic shifting, unintended down shift and sometimes never wants to shift and task meter sounds like it’s floor but don’t go no where. Close accident when at intersection vehicle would go on our green light and another car thought we were letting him go then our truck gear caught and we almost hit them My husband and I had a lifetime power train warranty and dealership will not honor because I missed 2 oil changes by mileage (379 miles and 1200 miles another time). No hope from Ford as know this transmission 10R80 is crap.

While driving on a highway, my 2019 Ford F-150 suddenly lost power during acceleration due to a transmission malfunction. The truck hesitated and failed to respond to the accelerator, nearly causing a rear-end collision. The transmission required a major overhaul at approximately 53,000 miles, yet the same symptoms returned shortly after the repair. Around 56,000 miles, the engine also developed a cam phaser/timing chain failure requiring extensive repairs. These major drivetrain failures at such low mileage raise serious safety concerns and indicate a potential manufacturing defect. I believe this vehicle poses an unreasonable safety risk to drivers and the public.

I have had multiple incidents with the transmission. The first incident happened when I hap cruise control activated and was doing approx 65mph. It was not raining. Suddenly my transmission dropped from 10th gear to 4th gear. I was able to stop the vehicle without incident. The other problem is when accelerating it will shudder continuously until you ease off of the gas pedal. It happens every time.

10r80 transmission flares from 1st gear to 2nd gear along with downshifting from 4th gear to 1st gear when lightly accelerating.

While driving at a low speed, when pressing the accelerator, the auto initially didn't respond, but then accelerated sharply after a delay (when the accelerator wasn't engaged). The transmission seemed to abrubtly shift up by 2 or 3 gears without warning requiring me to immediately depress the brake to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that during cold starts, after shifting into gear, the vehicle unintendedly shifted into neutral(N). There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the vehicle operated as intended while the transmission temperature was normal. The dealer was notified of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000.

Transmission does not shift or grab gears and would make me be stuck in the middle of the road.

While driving my vehicle (2019 Ford F150), it suddenly came to a complete stop. The engine shut off and the steering wheel locked up. While in the middle of a roadway, I had to quickly throw my vehicle into park, turn it off and back on. At that point, it was running again and I was able to safely get it to a dealership where it was inspected for an issues. There were no warnings, alerts or messages on my dashboard. The dealership confirmed what had happened. It was due to the electronic steering system failing. They fixed it and so far there has been no issues. This is not the first time I have heard of this happening and after researching, it appears it is more common than not. I believe, because of the risk of this vehicle unexpectedly and suddenly stopping on any roadway, a recall should occur. I could not imagine what would happen if one of my loved ones had been driving and a serious crash occurred.
