I called Ford customer service on [XXX] and they could not give me an availability date on the part (Ford customer service case # [XXX]). They also informed me that the part is not under recall. During cold weather the Driver and both back door locks will and cannot be locked or unlocked and the doors cannot be opened from inside or out if locked. Temperatures under 28 degrees Fahrenheit the locks become sluggish. Below 20 Fahrenheit the locks and door will not function at all. The dealer ship has checked out this issue but say that if replaced with current parts the problem will most likely continue. With this issue I have been locked in the car twice and had to exit the passenger door (which works for some reason). I now leave the truck unlocked which leaves me open to theft.
