2019 FORD F-150 Complaints

Transmission is acting up causing vehicle to jerk in traffic and makes a loud clunking sound in 3-4 and 8 gear. I’m afraid it’s gonna fail one day and cause an accident. I hear from other Ford F150 owners this is a widespread issue with these vehicles.

Our 2019 F150 four-wheel-drive began jerking, hesitating, and gear slipped from 1st to 3rd to 3rd and fifth when we attempted to cross an intersection, our car would not shift at all, and we had to coast across the intersection and it finally caught and began moving forward. The vehicle also displayed a warning light in the dashboard, but it said our trailer was disconnected. We didn’t have a trailerWe brought the vehicle home called the dealership. The next day the vehicle was on a tow truck going to the dealers. I thought we were going to get hit my car’s not paying attention in front of us Behind Us and coming through the intersection. This was a very scary moment for me. I was afraid the power train was gonna lock up while we were driving 45 miles an hour home. The dealership said the train. The powertrain was shot and needed to be repaired but offered no assistance no help and I’m fighting with the dealership who offered us a lifetime warranty on our powertrain as long as we own the vehicle and will not honor the free powertrain replacement. This makes me believe that Ford has known all along that they have a very huge safety issue both my husband and myself have to drive on the interstate to get to work and we spend about an hour in traffic each way I would hate to see what would happen if the wheels did lock up or the gears would just strip out I believe more than just a powertrain could possibly be wrong with this vehicle as well

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to 1st and 2nd gear, shifted back to a higher gear, and then lost automotive power. The contact pulled off the roadway and turned off then restarted the vehicle to resume normal driving. The orange wrench warning light was illuminated during the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V237000 (Power Train); and associated the failure with the recall. However, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 151,000.

I purchased this truck from Don’s Ford, Rt12,Utica,NY in February 2025 didn’t even leave the dealership every light in the dash came on turned around they had my truck for 5 months while I made 6 months of payments, there has been numerous problems since, I took the extended warranty out and was still being charged, I had to change dealer ships because they refused to fix my truck, now there is a recall and there saying I purchased the truck in Canada which I have a bill of sale stating I purchased the vehicle in Utica,NY, the vehicle was in and accident and I was told it had a clear car fax the airbag and the horn don’t work, I have tried to work with Dons Ford and getting no where I shouldn’t have to drive my vehicle to Canada for recalls when I purchased it in NYS I still have numerous problems with this vehicle and getting no where I have all the service orders and need help

My 2019 FORD 150 ALWAYS HAS 5969200 MILES ON IT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, IT SLIPS OUT OF GEAR OR DOWNSHIFTS, CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.I KNOW THERE IS A RECALL FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS RECALL NUMBER 26V375000 BUT FORD TELLS ME IT DOESN'T COVER IT, AND THERE'S NO RECALL FOR MY TRUCK FOR THIS PROBLEM, AT 59000 MILES, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. I THINK THE RECALL IS FOR SOME KIND OF MODULAR THAT CAUSES IT TO DOWNSHIFT. I JUST HAD IT IN THE SHOP TODAY.THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER.DID NOT HELP IT 711.00 LATER, IT'S STILL DOING IT. SO I HAVE A FORTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR TRUNK THAT I CAN'T DRIVE.PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS

Had the truck 4 weeks from dealer and it was 5 quarts low on oil!! Got oil change. Another month passes and it was almost 2 guards low. Took it to shop they can’t find a leak. Another month passers and it’s 1.5 quarts low again! Every month have to put 1.5 to 2 quarts in it!!! Have not even had it 6 months yet! Must be a lemon!!!

Cam phaser rattle, infamous in many ford models. The 2019 eco boost is very known for this sound and issue, ford has offered temporary resolutions and assistance before but no permanent fix. This issue affects hundreds of thousand of ford models and is quoted at a $5,500 job by many dealers. Ford Owners are aware of the issue and so are ford dealers. It is no longer a temporary issue and is long overdue for a recall.

Ford has a known issue with the 2019 f150 eco boost cam phaser rattling. They replaced once and it failed again. They now refuse to repair the fix that should have corrected the initial cam phaser issue. They continue to use faulty parts.

I bought this truck about 2 years ago at 130,000 miles ago. I knew the people I bought it from and it's been well maintained through its entire life. It started shifting really hard from 3rd gear to 6th gear and from 7th to 8th gear and took it to Ford to find out what was going on with it. I ended up getting the software update on it which only slightly helped the issue. It went back to the same hard shifting it was doing before about 5 months later but thought nothing of it since it seemed to be normal at this point. I've now learned this hard shift has been a problem for lots of people owning this truck not just me. Around the time the hard shifting came back, my rear differential went out requiring a $4,500 replacement. A little while after getting the rear differential replaced my transmission's hard shift got worse and took it to the shop to get a transmission service done on it. Now after getting the transmission service I had a transmission failure 2 days later (June 12, 2026). Now I'm getting quoted for a $8,500 fix on a truck I've already had to toss over $6,000 into over the span of 2 years. That's absolutely ridiculous especially with how many people seem to be having issues with this 10 speed transmission.

My 2019 F-150 has only 25,000 miles. The dealership has confirmed transmission failure requiring a $9,000 replacement. A transmission is expected to last significantly longer than 25,000 miles. I have maintained the vehicle. This is an extraordinary premature failure on a critical part of the vehicle and it poses a massive safety liability
