2015 FORD F-250 SD Complaints

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced the death wobble while driving at various speeds. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and an unknown repair was performed; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the repair was not covered under the warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-250. The contact stated while pulling a trailer and driving 65 MPH, the check engine warning light and powering down warning message were illuminated. The contact stated that he continued driving for a mile before the vehicle started to decelerate. The contact parked on the side of the road. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that shards of metal were found inside the fuel line and fuel filter. The vehicle was repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 82,111.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 MPH, the transmission shift indicator light suddenly began to switch before the vehicle abruptly jolted forward and stopped driving. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission was damaged during the incident and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 39,330. Consumer has tried working with FORD directly, but they continue to insist that FORD does NOT add VINS to recalls. They insist that this is done by the NHTSA. The NHTSA insists that VINS are added to a recall by the manufacturer. We’re caught between a rock and a hard place. All we are asking is that someone look at the specific details of our FORD F150 to confirm that this vehicle should have been included in the recall and reimburse us the ~$7400 we paid to repair this truck with very low mileage. Also, sister-in-law wrote out the complaint trying to assist them for reimbursement for out of pocket costs.

I purchased a 2013 Ford F-250 and ever since I bought it it had speed wobbles on the freeway. Took it into the dealership numerous times and they did nothing, I filed a lemon law complaint, they didn't help and again Ford did nothing!!!! Bought a 2015 been dealing with this same issue since I purchased it, on the freeway you feel your teeth are going to come out and rattle out of your skull! I just been dealing with it but the other night 10-06-21 I almost got into a major accident and almost died and that's when I thought I better look and see if there's any class action law suit going on against Ford, knowing this problem exist and not lifting a finger to fix the issue! On numerous occasions while driving my vehicle I have experienced uncontrollable shaking. I recently took my vehicle to Capital Ford (803-366-3181) to have it diagnose and was told that I'm and experiencing the death wobble and was told that the repair cost would be a total of $761.99 along with the diagnostic few of $150.00

It hits a small bump in the road an it shakes so hard that I ave to jerk the wheel hard one direction an slam on the brakes to make it stop. Normally it happens around 60-65. When it starts shaking if I am in traffic it is scary. Have to pull over to the side of road. I think I only have 80k miles on the thing. It is random. Sometimes it does it for no reason, sometimes you hit a bump an nothing happens. Once it starts nothing will stop it but to slow down really slow. I thought it was maybe a tire out of balance so I had them rotated an thought it fixed it. The only way to keep it from shaking now is to not drive it.

I was driving on I275 in Cincinnati, Oh. during morning rush hour. Traffic was very heavy and there were many cars close behind me. My speed was probably 70 mph. The highway took a turn to the left as I approached a bridge transition. Upon hitting the transition, the steering wheel was literally torn out of my hands and the vibration made me wonder if the front suspension had broken the vibration was so severe. I immediately responded with heavy braking and to this day, I can't imagine how countless cars didn't run into me from behind. I finally was able to regain control of the truck when my speed dropped below 30 mph and I pulled off the road into the center median at which point several cars following me displayed the middle finger salute as they passed by. I can't blame them. Thankfully, the event did not lead to a multi car chain reaction accident. This truck with these issues is a death trap. At the time of the incident, the truck had 17,500 miles on it.

At highway speeds the truck will start shaking violently with what seems to be referred to as the Death Wobble online. This started in may of this year. The truck has been to the dealer to fix this issue at least 3 times and is there again. I will obtain the paperwork from the dealer. I have video's of this, one from May 11 prior to the first fix, one on June 25th after the next fix and another one on August 28th. Prior to the August 28th video, the Dealer had made contact with Ford on June 25th to start a hotline case. Ford and the dealer said it's ok to keep driving it and not to bring it back to them until July 13th. After dropping this truck off on the 13th, they kept the truck until August 27th because they were working with Ford. This vehicle is not safe to drive. When it starts the death wobble, it will not stop before slowing down below 50 mph, in some cases even further than that. It is not something that would come thru in pictures but I can send you links to the video's I have.

I was traveling down Hwy 75 north at 70to 75 mph when i hit a series of bumps in succession and it sent the truck into a highspeed wobble which would not stop. I changed lanes thinking it was the road but it continued making steering difficult. I slowed down rapidly and moved off the road in traffic to a stop finally on the shoulder. Everything checked out and I proceeded on my way. This was very abnormal it was a excessively violent shake that did not stop until I stopped.

Death wobble. This has happened several times now. I was driving down the highway, hit a bump, and the truck started to violently shake. I had to reduce speed to 30 mph before 8 could get it back under control and the shaking to stop. My service center replaced the tie rods, stabilizer bar, shocks and struts. None of this has resolved the issue. And it seems random as to when it happens. I can hit all kinds of potholes and bumps in the road and nothing happens. But when it does happen, you lose complete control of the vehicle.
