2015 FORD FUSION Complaints

The SERVICE ENGINE SOON icon appeared. Three days after, I went to Auto Zone to try to find the issue and the issue was unknown. The day after, the SAFETY ALERT icon appeared and immediately after, the message TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK appeared. The 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid slowed its acceleration to under 20 mph and upward to 35 mph and returned to under 20 mph. Search with the vehicle's VIN number on NHTSA website, shows that VEHICLE MAY POSSIBLY HAVE A DAMAGED/BROKEN/MISSING TRANSMISSION SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING. Safety of others put at risk because when vehicle acceleration and deceleration process slowed the vehicle into incoming traffic and creating a problem in the flow of traffic. Cannot get vehicle to a dealer for inspection.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 65-70 MPH, the messages: "Failed to Connect to AC Control System”, “SRS Air Bags System Malfunctioning" and "Blind Spot Visual System Not Working" were displayed. Additionally, the vehicle went into limp mode independently and would not accelerate over 65 MPH. The contact stated upon parking the vehicle, the doors and windows failed to unlock. The contact banged the front driver's side door several times and the door finally unlocked. The contact was also able to unlock the rear driver's side door after several attempts. However, the front and rear passenger side doors remained locked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the dealer declined to assist. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

This garnish purge valve near my engine constantly has issues. It usually cause warning light on and cannot start my engine

The brake lights stay on permanently, even when the pedal is not pressed, and even when the car is turned off. This is clearly the same problem that Ford recalled these Fusions for in other states.

The contact stated while driving approximately 45-60 MPH, the vehicle started making an abnormally loud humming sound while releasing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that upon depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated and jerked backward several times. The contact was able to continue driving; however, the failure reoccurred increasingly while driving the following day. The warning message "Engine coolant temperature - Pull Over As Soon As Possible" was displayed. The contact veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where the failure was diagnosed as a transmission failure. The dealer informed the contact that the repair would be covered by the manufacturer; however, the parts were on back order. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V413000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,070.

Automotive Warning Lights: Multiple Light Syndrome (dash indicator lights) - at times while my vehicle is running all the warning lights start coming on and my steering wheel starts to get tough to turn (almost like it doesn't have power steering at all). The only thing that takes it off is if I shut off my car and restart it. This happens almost 5 times a week. It will show ABS, power steering, check engine and a bunch of other things. Just had the bolts that were recalled on the steering wheel fixed but this is still an ongoing issue. The vehicle only has 58000 miles.

Electrical system failure on multiple components. Upon start entertainment system (radio, nav, etc.) is inoperable, A/C does not function, windows will not roll down. Has happened on multiple occasions.

The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated while driving 50-55 MPH, the transmission started slipping. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his residence however, upon parking and turning off the vehicle, the contact noticed that the brake lights remained illuminated. The contact then disconnected the fuse box to prevent the battery from draining. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine cylinders were faulty causing coolant to leak into the engine. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who confirmed the original diagnosis and informed the contact that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 108,000.

The contact was informed that the vehicle was not under recall and that the repair would be an out-of-pocket expense. The failure mileage was 73,000.
