2010 FORD FUSION HYBRID Complaints

The brakes are acting in the same manner described in the previous recall issued by this agency. My vehicle was manufactured at the same plant as the previous recall for the same problem. I am at a loss as too what it will take? Will it take more loss of life? Get off your ass and do something!! Thousands of people are experiencing the same problem open your eyes and do something!

Advance Trac light and brake light came on without any notice and lost ability to brake. Was able to use parking brake to avoid any collisions. There have been 0 issues before this that would have given me any advanced notice of this. After a Google search I found that this is apparently a known and fairly common issue with these cars.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the power steering fault message was displayed, and the steering wheel was difficult to turn. The contact was able to continue driving by using extra force to turn the steering wheel. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The contact stated that the failure increased significantly while driving from a complete stop, while driving at slow speeds, and while turning. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA17004 (Steering). The failure mileage was approximately 240,000.

Brakes have same systems as discribed in 19S54 recall but my vehicle is not listed as needing that recall!

I was driving the vehicle and it started beeping. I looked at the dashboard and multiple lights in relation to the brakes were on or flashing such as the brake light, abs, service advancetrac, traction control etc. The main issue was I was driving and the vehicle had some sort of glitch and all the lights for the brake system came on the and vehicles brakes did not work. The brake was soft and if depressed it went down to the floor. Luckily no cars were ahead of me and I was able to pull the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. After researching this, this was an issue for these model vehicles, but I thought this was addressed on my particular vehicle. This is a common issue with these cars and has happened to many of the vehicles as reported on various consumer report and the NHTSA. This issue is documented in the TSB-09-22-11 as well as 19S54 Recall. I shut the car off and turned it back on and the lights went away and it worked. Car was towed the dealer and they were unsure and I also reached out to Ford Motor Co but they were unwilling to help.

The vehicle loses all brakes while driving. With multiple warning lights coming on to include brake light, traction control. The problems completely match ford's current recall number 19s54 which this vehicle was not included in. This issue is intermittent.

shortly after starting vehicle, all the warning lights pertaining to brakes light up. Brake pedal goes nearly to the floor, and there is a very noticeable loss in braking power. Possibly related to Safety Recall Notice 19S54 / NHTSA Recall 19V-904

The brake warning light was illuminated, and the check braking system message was displayed. Additionally, the check engine and ABS warning lights were illuminated. The contact activated the parking brake, and the vehicle came to a complete stop. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but no cause for the failure was found. The contact was informed that the caliper was leaking. The failure reoccurred and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The contact was informed that the ABS unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 180,000.

The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the automatic braking system had failed. The contact pumped the brake but the failure persisted. The contact shifted from drive(D) to low gear. There were several warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his residence in low gear. The vehicle was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000. The VIN was not available.
