2019 FORD MUSTANG Complaints

The 10 Speed Auto has the tendency to Jerk, Bang gears and clunk while driving normally,. It also can just have sudden jerks while braking which has sometimes had it not being able to brake and coming a lot closer to the front car then I could feel comfortable with.

I was driving on the the 215 Freeway in Las Vegas and the car started to shutter with a loss of power in the engine. The check engine light starting blinking orange. I was going downhill so I let the car coast while I tried to pull off the road. After about 15 seconds the engine stabilized and the check engine light stopped blinking and stayed a solid yellow. I pulled the car off the road and let it rest. I was able to get the car home and took it to V & V Auto in Las Vegas the first appointment I could make. I was told coolant was leaking into the engine and the head gasket needed to be replaced. The mechanic told me this is a design flaw with the Ford EcoBoost Turbo Engines. Why is Ford allowed to put faulty engines on the road? I only had 64000 miles on the car at the the time and I have always had the car serviced.

All the lug nuts on my vehicle needed to be replaced due to swelling of the lug nut. The lug nuts were almost impossible to remove. If I would have had a flat tire the tire could not have been removed from the side of the road which is a safety hazard. I had the lug nuts replaced at Friendly Ford in Las Vegas, NV. I was told by the dealership this is a normal problem with the lug nuts Ford is using now. I live in the desert so I am confused how moisture can cause lug nuts to swell when there is very little humidity. This is a known problem for many Ford vehicles why are they allowed to put defective parts on vehicles?

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs, and ignition coils needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs, and ignition coils needed to be replaced again. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred, and the independent mechanic advised having the vehicle diagnosed by a local dealer. The vehicle was then towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 106,000.

As I was driving on the highway I slowed down due to traffic and I noticed a drastic change in the brake system responsiveness Applying regular pressure to the brakes did not stop the car. A brake system warning message appeared and I had to apply both feet to the brakes to stop the vehicle.

The dealer replaced all 16 lug nuts. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed for approximately 15 minutes, the rear-view camera, traction control, Forward Collision Avoidance and Blind Spot Detection became inoperable. There was a beeping sound detected. The contact stated that the check engine, Blind Spot Detection, Hill Start Assist, Back Over Prevention camera, and gear selector warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the failures were confirmed, but the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V382000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was contacted and referred him to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was 3,700.

I have taken my vehicle to Ford. Called Ford as well. And when at a stop, and while in drive, my car will lunge/ jerk and if my car was behind a vehicle too close could hit it. I also believe that If a person were in front of the vehicle it could lunge forward into them. I see in google that many 2019 mustang owners have reports this as well. This jerk/ lunge has happened a hand full of times. Two Ford dealerships and ford.com have advised they do not have reports from consumers on this.

I purchased my vehicle at Vancouver Ford, which is the most unprofessional and unethical dealership. My story starts October 2021, when I purchased a 2019 Ford Mustang from Vancouver Ford. I paid cash for the vehicle and was provided an AutoCheck, not a Carfax the day I had purchased this car. Over the last 8 months I have had several issues that made think my car was an accident but was assured it was never in an accident. After pulling the Carfax, I realized it was in a wreck and had an accident date of July 2019. This led me to look for an accident report, which was filed by a Portland Police officer on July 23, 2019.

Heated/cooled driver's seat stopped functioning due to a shorted or overloaded wiring harness causing a small electrical fire at the harness.
