Opened up a claim next day with Ford. I have opened 2 claims with FORD. It has been 8 months going back a forth with them. I have had my vehicle inspected at 3 dealerships an had new (camera) installed. I have sent Ford claims department all of my information, Dealerships have sent in all there information. I have gotten an email 3 months ago from Ford claims saying they have never received my information on my vehicle from me or the 3 Dealerships a they have to close the claim. I opened up anther claim waited, got anther email saying from ford claims that due to me or the dealerships I have gone to a them not receiving documents they have to close my claim. I have over $4k in damages, I have a broken camera system. And still have not gotten my camera system fully fix. I feel that because I did not get injured in this crash it’s a brush on FORDS Shoulder. I just got my van back today an have to bring back again. For Ford to do noting about this till I guess I get in a real accident. Thank u

Rear differential or axle suffered catastrophic failure on highway, causing both rear wheels to lock up and the driveshaft to shear off/separate from the differential housing. Locking rear wheels at 55mph caused the vehicle to lose traction and spin out. Vehicle crossed multiple lanes of interstate highway, colliding with a snow bank facing the wrong direction. Fortunately traffic was light (incident occurred approx. 5:30AM on Sunday) and snow prevented the vehicle from colliding with the median wall. Had the incident occurred at another time or another place, injuries or fatalities would have been considerably more likely. Only advance warning was approx. 5 seconds of loud noise and intense vehicle shuddering from the rear before the wheels locked and control was lost. Once traction was lost, multiple driver-assist indicators lit up, but shut off after motion stopped. Vehicle was immobilized afterwards and had to be 'shaken' off the tow truck as the rear wheels would not turn. New vehicle, approx. 4,000 miles. Vehicle is currently at the local Ford dealership awaiting inspection.
