The front plate on the trailer detached from the unit and was barely attached. It was extremely heavy holiday traffic and fortunately was discovered in time.This hazard was an accident waiting to happen. Forest River was contacted and declined assistance.

When I arrived at my campground the gray tank fell completely out of the underbelly. When checked it was only being held up by a thin plastic strap. Under further investigation the black tank and the 2nd gray tank wasn't secured by anything. Also the whole back wall leading to the patio is pulling away from the roof and walls of the rv. It could have fell out while traveling and could have hit a vehicle behind is and killed them. The wall could collapse and injure another person. The manufacturer knows about the issues and their only resolve is to leave us stranded with no vehicle to stay in while they keep our rv.

On XXX, the tempered-glass entry door on my 2022 Forest River R-Pod 190 travel trailer (VIN [XXX]) spontaneously shattered while the trailer was parked in [XXX]. The door was open, stationary, and facing the morning sun. No one was touching it, there was no wind or impact, and the door and glass had no prior damage. The failure sounded like a gunshot and projected broken glass onto my neck and back. I was not injured, but if I had been facing the door, the glass could have struck my eyes and caused serious injury. My wife was also inside the trailer near the doorway. The failed component is a Lippert entry-door assembly identified by label as part number V000576073, manufactured XXX. The damaged door, remaining glass, frame, hinges, and hardware have been preserved with tape and cardboard and are available for inspection upon request. The failure has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The door has not been inspected by Forest River, Lippert, police, an insurer, or another representative. Forest River sent my photographs to Lippert, which declined warranty coverage based on the age of the trailer but did not provide a technical cause or safety determination. There were no warning signs, messages, visible cracks, unusual operation, or other symptoms before the glass suddenly shattered. The door and frame had not been adjusted or previously damaged. There have been numerous issues with our brand new 2026 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack 24-15 toyhauler. Few weeks after the purchase the aluminum side skirt started to peel away from the body of the trailer, submitted for warranty. Went to de-winterize, coolant leaked all over the kitchen floor area, plumbing not connected, submitted for warranty. Back-up camera which was suppose to come with a monitor, did not and has not worked, submitted to warranty. Trim coming off in the bedroom and missing in the kitchen area behind the "Wolf Pack" sign, submitted for warranty. Soft spot in the floor of kitchen (panel not properly secured, found out today [XXX]), submitted to warranty. Linoleum by the floor tie-downs coming up, submitted for warranty. Water tank leaked out 2/3 of our fresh water on the only camping trip we took. Only had one camping trip since we purcahsed in March 2026. Found out, skirting was replaced under warranty after Bish's RV in Meridian had to fight for us on the full replacement on both sides. Water tank needs a loop in the vent line since the anti-siphon is not working. Biggest worry of all is what the tech found, and I will quote on the work order: "Tie Down Gussets Missing all Nuts to Secure body to Trailer" The manufacturer "FOREST RIVER" did not have any nuts securing the body of the trailer to the frame. I purchased and paid for two NEW front tires for my RV from Mac’s Tire & Complete Auto in Tucson, Arizona. After the tires were installed, I drove the RV approximately 2,000 miles. During this trip, the front tires began deteriorating and coming apart on the inside. Because the damage was on the inner side of the tires, it was difficult to see during normal visual inspection. I stopped at a Firestone location in Casa Grande, Arizona, where the tires were inspected. I was informed that the two front tires that had been installed and sold to me as new were actually approximately 13 and 14 years old based on their DOT manufacturing date codes. I had driven approximately 2,000 miles at highway speeds with my family in the RV without knowing that these extremely old tires were installed on the front steering axle. The condition of the tires created a serious risk of a blowout, loss of steering control, crash, serious injury, or death. I am reporting this incident because I believe these tires presented a serious highway safety hazard. GOOD YEAR WRANGLER HT Load range E DOT 2413 and DOT 2912

The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Georgetown RV built on a 2020 Ford Motorhome Chassis. While on a road trip, the contact, his wife, and two children became ill from the PolyHyde vinyl seats that were factory installed and bolted down in the RV. The contact stated that the seats were deteriorating and released a powdery substance, causing his eyes to water, coughing, and respiratory issues. The contact's son was diagnosed with bronchitis and had a rash on the chest. The contact’s daughter had a cough and runny nose. The contact's wife had high blood pressure. Medical attention was received by each occupant inside the RV. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.

I am the original owner of a 2021 Forest River Wolf Pack 325PACK13 fifth-wheel trailer (VIN: [XXX]), purchased new on [XXX]. The trailer is built on a Lippert Components chassis manufactured in September 2020. My trailer developed multiple structural cracks in the front overhang/pin box area of the frame. This is not a single crack. The damage includes multiple cracks in the steel chassis, separation between the fiberglass front cap and the trailer body, gaps between structural members beneath the floor, and movement throughout the front of the trailer. Because the pin box transfers all towing forces into the frame, I considered the trailer unsafe to tow and immediately removed it from service. This is a structural failure involving the primary load-bearing chassis, not cosmetic damage. I am concerned this defect could affect towing stability, structural integrity, and increase the risk of failure during highway travel. The trailer has remained at an authorized repair facility for approximately four months awaiting repairs. During that time, I have repeatedly contacted Forest River for updates, often daily, but have received virtually no meaningful communication. My calls have routinely gone unanswered or unreturned, and the repair facility has also struggled to obtain responses, significantly delaying repairs. I am concerned this may represent a broader safety issue affecting other Forest River trailers built on similar Lippert chassis. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether these structural frame failures are occurring in other units and determine whether a safety-related defect exists that warrants corrective action. I have photographs documenting the multiple frame cracks, structural separation, repair records, warranty documentation, and communication records and will provide them upon request. Catastrophic failure of the Lippert hitch - this is the second hitch issue - last fall the c channel failed causing the hitch to bottom out. Forest River had this fixed through Motor Home Specialists in Alvarado TX.

The contact owns a 2026 Forest River Campsite Reserve. The contact stated that while the camper was hitched to a vehicle and being hauled, the refrigerator detached from the wall and fell forward. The contact stated that the cabinet trim, the floor in front of the refrigerator, and the cabinet were damaged. The camper was taken to the dealer where it was determined that there was not enough bolts used to secure the refrigerator. The contact was informed that the bolts were replaced according to the manufacturer's design. The RV was repaired. The contact was informed that more bolts were needed to secure the refrigerator to the wall. The contact stated that the failure was a known failure with similar RVs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.

The faulty wiring of the battery caused it to catch fire. The vehicle is currently available for inspection, at the dealership. We have the fire report, the independent fire inspection report, and the recall that was mailed to us by the manufacturer, as well as the inspection and estimate from the insurance company. My husband and infant daughter were inside when it caught fire directly under the propane tanks. There were no warning signs, the neighbor saw smoke from the window, that was the only warning that was had.
