1. Furnace 2. Fire hazard 3. No 4. No 4. No warnings Our RV furnace was putting out a burnt wood smell every time it kicked on. After inspecting it multiple times it wasn’t until taking off the vent duct to get a look inside, we saw the bottom was open and completely exposed to the plywood that the furnace sits on and not covered by metal. This caused the furnace to burn the plywood every time the heat kicked on. There were 2 pieces of plywood under the furnace and then the main floor covered in linoleum. The first board was completely charred from the out put of the heat. The second under the charred board was slightly burned and the main floor with the linoleum was burned. This was a fire hazard that could have potentially started the entire RV on fire because it was burning the plywood every time the furnace kicked on.

On Friday, November 11, 2022 while traveling to North Carolina from Ohio, our travel trailer suffered a catastrophic incident. One of the axles broke while driving on I64E, resulting in the tire coming off, damaging the body of the camper, and leaving my husband stranded several hours from home. After waiting for hours, he was not even able to find anyone to tow the vehicle, so he had to make his way to a repair shop 23 miles away. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries. This is the second issue we have had with this particular travel trailer. The camper is only 3 years old. In late 2020, a leaf spring broke, rendering the camper unusable. Subsequently, during repair, it was discovered that a second leaf spring was on the verge of breaking, and it was replaced. We have reported the incident to our insurance company, as well as the extended warranty company. I have also contacted Forest River, Inc. and I am awaiting their response.

Sagging walls on 2020 Forest River R-Pod RP-190. Walls sag to the point where the tires will contact the fender.

The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Cedar Creek. The contact stated that he noticed that the spare tire under the vehicle was missing. The contact stated that he replaced the spare tire however, the contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, he noticed that the spare tire was shaking. Upon inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that the spare tire was loose and hanging, and the carrier winch was also loosened. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

This is a Forest River, Palomino Solaire Travel Trailer model# 205SS. It is a dual-axle unit. While winterizing the unit and filling the tires, I observed that the frame has a large crack in on the right-hand side (passenger side) of the unit. The crack is "L" shaped and is about 5" (125 mm) total length. More specifically it is located where the rearmost axle bracket is attached. I believe this is a safety issue that needs immediate attention. The unit has a Lippert brand frame.

The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Salem Laminated Towables Trailer equipped with a Furrion oven, Model Number: F1S17L03A-BL. The contact stated that the stove was leaking gas and failed to ignite as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the regulator control valve was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.

The fiberglass roof is separated on the passenger side. The separation is above the passenger side window, approximately 2 feet from the outer edge of the roof. There is also a crunchy sound when pressed against the coach. This area is not any of the curved outer edge.

The contact owns a 2020 Forest River Flagstaff. The contact stated that when he had inspected the RV spare tire prior to a trip, he noticed that the spare had a blister on the tread. The contact stated that the blister extends from the inner side of the tread to the outer and is approximately five inches wide. The Tire DOT number: JUJTYMT 2819. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer where it was not diagnosed the tire had been replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 0, the tire had never been used and was original equipment.

During our travels, the refrigerator popped out of it place breaking all the trim work around it. It and the trim work landed in close proximity to the kitchen island. I question as to how the refrigerator was secured in place to begin with. Apparently there is nothing, similar to what a kitchen stove has to keep it from tipping over. I don't believe, although our interstates are in terrible condition, that normal driving on the interstate should have caused this to happen. The electric fireplace in our RV caught on fire. A visible flame was seen behind the fireplace glass near the thermostat display on the right side of the fireplace. Visible smoke and burning smell observed from the upper right vents above the control panel buttons. The fireplace unit itself had an audible alarm, in addition to the RV smoke detectors that were triggered. We were inside the RV when this occurred, and once smoke and flame were observed, we immediately extinguished the fire by shutting off the master power breaker, and promptly removed the fireplace unit from the cabinet prior to any damage to the RV.
