  • 2022 FOREST RIVER WILDWOOD
    - Harlingen, TX

    The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Wildwood. The contact stated that while driving the RV at an undisclosed speed, another motorist notified her of an issue with the RV. After stopping to inspect the RV, it was discovered that the underbelly of the RV had loosened and was dragging along the road surface. The underbelly was temporally reattached to the subframe. The contact stated that later while driving, the exterior roof lining of the RV became unsecured, detached, and flew up in the air. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 100.

  • 2021 FOREST RIVER COLUMBUS
    - Somersworth, NH

    *I lost brakes and came close to colliding with another vehicle in Virginia, and Camping World tech found wiring inside axel that goes to brakes was shorting on the axle was acting as a ground. I need this repair made correct and permanent. *The furnace is inoperable, Camping World's diagnosis- ignition board failure. (Suburban Sf-35VHQ 211332028D) I could not get warm in cold climate. *Sliding glass shower door came open in transit and right-side glass pane chipped and handles broke off, one of the three glass panes, after I attached it properly for transportation. Camping World confirmed this malfunction. (Cut hazard)

    The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Cherokee. The contact stated that all three slides of the RV extended independently. While attempting to return the slide into place, the contact was unable to retract the slide. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure prevented him from having the RV taken to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V243000 (Equipment). The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they would send a mechanic to his location to repair the failure. However, the dealer failed to provide further assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 75.

    The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Freedom Express. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V243000 (Equipment) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted but failed to return the call. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer contacted the dealer and provided the dealer with instructions on how to order the parts for recall repair; however, the dealer had not called back. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

  • 2021 FOREST RIVER CHEROKEE WOLF PACK

    The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pack RV Travel Trailer. The contact stated that after arriving at the campsite, the door to the trailer door would not latch. The contact had to slam the door for the door to latch securely. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 130. The VIN was not available.

  • 2021 FOREST RIVER VENGEANCE
    - Mission, TX

    The contact owns a 2022 Forest River Vengeance equipped with Castle Rock tires, Tire Line: Radial ST226 Dueler, Tire Size: 235/80/R16, DOT Number: JUMR2MT0521. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver’s side front and rear tires and the passenger’s side tire experienced blowouts with tread ply separation on two separate occasions. The contact’s son was able to pull over and replace the tires with spares. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. The VIN was unavailable.

  • 2021 FOREST RIVER CHEROKEE
    - Kingsland, GA

    Over a period of 2 months all four tires blew out while traveling with less than 3500 miles on them. None of the tires blew out due to running over anything, each tire blew while traveling on interstate highways. Tires are ST225/75R15 Load Range E Castle Rock made by LionsHead Tire and Wheel, all 4 had DOT of JULT. Tire pressure was maintained at 70 psi and driving speed was 60 mph with ambient temperatures ranging from 75 to 95 degrees. Tires came with 5th wheel camper by Forrest River when purchased new in 2021. Tires have been replaced and disposed of but pictures are attached.

  • 2021 FOREST RIVER WORK AND PLAY
    - Prescott, AZ

    The tire which was damaged was a rear passenger tire on a travel trailer, it was monitored by TPMS and was performing as expected showing no signs of air loss or temperature rise - it was a sudden explosion and the tread completely came off the tire causing damage to the trailer and of course the need for roadside assistance. Upon inspection of the remaining tires in the group there found to be sidewall cracks. Tire size was P225/75R15.

  • 2021 FOREST RIVER SUNSEEKER
    - Kingston, TN

    Our vehicle is stuck in park. Driver message system says “Do not shift, Contact Mercedes”. We have the Mercedes Sprinter 3500 XD chassis. While our vehicle had this happen in our driveway, internet research to resolve our issue revealed several Sprinters having the same issues while stopped in traffic.This is our second incident involving Mercedes dealer intervention. While we are inconvenienced, one could understand the dangerous impact a stalled rv on a interstate could become. We have not received any solution from Mercedes.

The contact stated while performing a daily safety check, she noticed that the front passenger’s side tire had experienced a blowout. The contact stated that the steel belts were visible.
