When filling the fresh water tank for the first time, the forward frame bracket pivoted and the tank fell to the ground. The tank broke where the fill and vent tube attach. There are no secondary retention straps. If this had happened on the highway, the tank likely would have caused severe injury or death to other vehicles following behind the trailer. Upon inspection, it appears the forward frame bracket is only held by two in-line fasteners with provisions for two other anti-rotation fasteners. These anti-rotation fasteners were not installed. Also, this design does not use retention straps as a secondary retention system.

The tongue jack provided by the manufacturer/original dealer on my unit broke within 24 hours of me bringing the unit home. At the time it broke I was already connected to the hitch but it was no longer able to lift up RV off my truck without using a separate jack. Problem was confirmed, inspected, and replaced by a separate electric tongue jack by a separate Camping World facility other than original Camping World dealer.

We have had our travel trailer for about 1 year and have had it in for service to the bedroom door as we noted it was sticking. This weekend the bedroom door failed. The frame of the door itself came away from the door making it difficult to open. At the same time the other entry door was stuck shut. My wife was unable to open the door. I was able to open it with great difficulty. The door side of the trailer was in direct afternoon sunlight it it appeared to have swollen and jammed itself in the doorway. It did not resolve itself until the outside temperature dropped and we ran the air-conditioning inside the trailer. If my wife would have been inside alone and would have needed to escape the trailer should would not have been able to. In researching forums and forest river related Facebook groups this appears to be a common issue.

THE FRAME/WALLS OF THE 5TH WHEEL CAMPER ARE NOT PROPERLY MANUFACTURED. EXTERIOR WALLS ARE NOT COMPLETELY IN TACT WITH THE FRAME. CAMPER IS NOT STABLE AND CAUSES A HUGE RISK FOR COLLAPSING. PROBLEM WAS FOUND WHEN THE CAMPER WAS BEING REPAIRED FROM A TREE FALLING ON IT. THE SERVICE CENTER HAS BEEN VERY THOROUGH TO CHECK FRAME FOR DAMAGE AND FOUND NO DAMAGE TO THE FRAME BUT DISCOVERED THE EXTERIOR WALL IS NOT GLUED COMPLETELY TO THE EXTERIOR OUT WALL. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE MANUFACTURER AS THE SERVICE CENTER HAS HALTED REPAIRS AS IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN TO PUT THE INTERIOR WALL BACK KNOWING THE EXTERIOR WALL IS NOT PROPERLY CONSTRUCTED.

Upon inspecting the trailer to determine the cause of the failure, the contact noticed that one of the underbelly pins had detached and flew off and the remaining pins were loosened. The contact stated while attempting to attach the trailer to his vehicle, the right landing gear leg extended and started to lift up, however, the left landing gear leg went inward and fractured.
