2019 FOREST RIVER R-POD- Fenton, MO
The floor of the camper trailer is cantilevered out past the frame by 7 inches on each side. The walls and camper slideout are supported by the cantilevered floor which begins to sag over time. The tire fenders are mounted to the walls which makes them lower down and begin to hit the tires. This begins to damage the tire and or rip the fendar off the trailer falling into traffic. The following years of trailers have six outright braces on each side welded and bolted to the frame to prevent this, showing that Forest River is aware of the design problem.

2021 FOREST RIVER WILDWOOD- Gulf Shores, AL
The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Wildwood trailer. The contact stated that multiple failures had occurred with the trailer upon purchase. First, he stated that the front strip exterior light located in the front of the trailer would not turn off while driving or while turned off. He also mentioned that the water pump would bypass the check valve and fill up the water tank; due to the failure, the water tank would overflow, and water would then leak out of the trailer. The contact also stated that the plastic fenders over each of the tires on the trailer had begun to crack. The manufacturer had been notified about the multiple failures on numerous occasions; however, the contact had yet to hear back from the manufacturer. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. 2010 FOREST RIVER WILDCAT- Lundbreck, MT
Two component issues on 2010 Forest River 31THSB 1 - Lippert axle hub brake drum failure. Multiple failures of these axles and Lippert have not issued a recall. My trailer lost the wheel from the axle, with the brake drum still attached to the wheel. Fortunately, we were not traveling at highway speed. Tire rolled underneath the trail causing damage to the side and underside of trailer. Lippert are aware of these constant axle failures and their solution is to sell you two axles for the price of one. 3-to-4-week delivery! Does not include the property damage, or take in account we where 3000 miles from home. 2 – Lippert frame and wing supports, where pin box is mounted to the frame of trailer, failed. Front and back welds on wings to main frame broke. Huge safety issue. Repairs to the failed frame and wing supports were completed at an RV dealership. The dealership and welder commented that the manufacture welds were poorly done. Lippert rep has heard of this happening to other Forest River RVs but very few, but does happen! Fortunately no one was injured. Just what you want to be doing while on vacation.

2020 FOREST RIVER FLAGSTAFF- Palm Harbor, FL
ST225/75R15 - had blowout on front driver side of RV that has dual axles. After putting spare tire on, I had gone less than 30 minutes down I-75 and had a second blowout on rear passenger tire as I pulled into a Camping World to get new spare. After 3rd tire was determined to be bad, ended up replacing all tires with Goodyear Endurance tires. Fortunately they had 4 in stock. I initially bought the RV brand new in July 2019 and tires only had about 3,000 miles on them. I am part of several Facebook RV groups and heard of this happening all the times re: “China bomb” tires. Never felt it would happen to me. I feel that with these castle rock tires having such a bad history, then RV manufacturers should be putting better tires on. And/or RV dealers should replace upon arrival to their sales lot.

2017 FOREST RIVER CARDINAL- New Lexington, OH
The slide out system cause the frame to separate from the wall of the travel trailer. This allowed water to get into the wall which rotted the support. When traveling, the slide out would separate on its own. Fortunately, I was made aware by a friend and was able to take the RV to the dealership for inspection and repair. I have a another friend that has a Forest River Wildwood that had the same issue which was also corrected before an accident occurred. From what I was told, the wall and screws for the system are were the issue and larger ones were put in place.

2021 FOREST RIVER R-POD- Mesa, AZ
On Sep 17th, while coming off a 2,000 mile road trip to Yosemite, the rhino rack with tent and awning ripped off my No Bo 10.6 trailer, did 4 frisbee turns in the air and came crashing down into the fast lane of I93 between Las Vegas and Kingman. The weight alone (roughly 500 lbs.) would've killed anyone driving behind me. Luckily it didn't and skidded into the emergency lane. The lack of concern from the manufacturer has me stymied. I've been told it was a manufacturing defect but am unable to get any phone calls or emails back from their warranty/service department. This was installed at the manufacturer. I need to make sure all owners of a No Boundaries 10.6 trailer are aware of this as I do not believe any type of recall or notice has gone out from Forest River. Dealer has all photos. 2021 FOREST RIVER CHEROKEE- Acworth, GA
The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Cherokee Travel trailer. The contact stated that while the travel trailer was parked at a park, the contact performed an inspection and noticed a metal bar had fractured and detached from the rear passenger's side shock. A park host informed the contact that she could not drive the travel trailer on the highway. The travel trailer was towed to the dealer and diagnosed that the shocks were too small to handle the weight of the travel trailer. The travel trailer was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the shocks were adequate for the weight of the travel trailer.

The contact owns a 2013 Forest River Georgetown RV. The contact stated while the RV was parked the contact was attempting to exit out of the passenger side center door of the RV. but the door would not open from the inside. The contact had to call roadside assistance where they had pop locked from the outside of the door handle to open the door, however, the failure reoccurred several times after. The contact concern is that when the RV trailer is hot its seems the vehicle door frame expanse causing the door not to open up. The contact called a local dealer about the failure and inform the contact they are aware of the failure and recommended that they shave down the frame of the RV to fix the failure but the contact was concerned that will not fix the failure. The contact has attempted to replace the lock and linkage on the vehicle and handle but that did not repair the issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
