The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Cherokee RV. The contact stated that as the tires of the RV were frequently flat, the RV was taken to the dealer to determine the cause of the failure. The dealer diagnosed that one of the axles was bent due to the overloading of the RV. The contact stated that the dealer did not provide any further information on the axle that had failed. The contact stated that the load capacity of the two axles was 7,000 pounds, 3,500 pounds each. The contact stated that the load capacity of the RV was 7,934 pounds with a dry weight or unloaded weight of 5,960 pounds, which allowed him to load a maximum of 1,974 pounds per the manufacturer's instructions; however, the contact had never exceeded the maximum of 1,974 pounds when loading the RV even though the manufacturer’s sticker indicated not to overload the camper with more than 1,500 pounds. The contact had been trying to reach the manufacturer and was awaiting a callback. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,900.

The contact owns a 2019 Forest River Cedar Creek. The contact stated that a manufacturer defect had caused all three slides on the trailer to independently close. The failure had caused damage to the inside furniture including the electric fireplace. Upon his own investigation, the contact stated that the hydraulic pump that controlled the slides had become defective due to water that entered the rocker switch. The contact also stated that he had sent an email to the manufacturer but had not yet received a response. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

CONSTITUENT IS REQUESTING THAT CASTLE ROCK TIRES' ST 225/75R15 BE INVESTIGATED DUE TO RECEIVED COMPLAINTS REGARDING BLOWOUTS AND OTHER SAFETY CONCERNS.

The tires are hitting the bottom floor if you hit the bumps or pot holes in road and causing the tire to bottom out on the floor of the trailer causing the tires to blow out and wear out prematurely. This was noticed on previous year models…

The contact owns a 2007 Forest River Rockwood. The contact stated that upon entering the RV, the flooring was soft, especially in front of the sink. The contact stated that there were no water leaks in the RV. The trailer was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as a design flaw. The contact was informed that the floor was not made with sturdy enough materials. The independent mechanic stated that the flooring needed to be reinforced. The manufacturer was notified by email and a voice message however, the contact had not yet received a response in return from the manufacturer.

Roof/wall seals prematurely failed. Travel trailer is a 2020. only 1 1/2 years old. Bought it brand new. Water damage can cause mold, creating health issues and structure issues. Currently at a repair facility being inspected for total damage and estimate on cost. Had it's last outing August 2020, no damage or signs of problem then, noticed bad seals and water damage 5 Jan 2022.

The contact owns a 2021 Forest River Palomino. The contact stated that shortly after purchasing the travel trailer, it was discovered that line seams and cracks were present in the floor of the coach of the vehicle. Additionally, appliances had moved slightly out of position inside the unit. The trailer was taken to the local dealer who determined that the trailer needed a support bracket to support the sub-center of the vehicle. No further information was available. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 25.

Castle Rock ST radial ST226 by Lionshead. Size ST225/75/R15 on the RV I purchased. I bought a new Forest River Cherokee 274RK in June 2021. On 10-08-2021 the first tire with a date code of 1120 had a blow out with the tread completely separating from the tire at 50 mph near Payson, UT. Doing damage to the underside of my trailer. I had the tire replaced at Wal-Mart in Payson, UT. Then on Sunday 01-02-2021 a second tire exploded while the RV trailer is parked in Quartzsite, AZ. (the date code on that one was also 1120) it has been parked here since 10/11/2021 and has not moved. The second tire is available for inspection. I have not had the inspected. The headlights on my early 2021 Berkshire XL 37A motorhome are not safe to drive at night, the headlights do not provide ANY help in seeing the road at night, in many consumer complaints the same issue is addressed. Forest river corp, is NO HELP they are in denile of any issues, but yet have had many many complaints. I am very affraid of getting in a accident if i have to drive at night, they really dont work and its like they arent even on. Please help us all, we need forest river to step up and take this on, they have many other issues but are the work company i have ever delt with and mad after spending 300K in good faith for a really bad product. The contact owns a 2015 Forest River Cherokee travel trailer. The contact stated that rainwater leaked into the RV through the side panels and passenger's side sliding door. The rainwater leaked from the passenger's side sliding door and spread into the master bedroom causing water damage to the floor. Additionally, the passenger's side sliding door was inoperable. The dealer was made aware of the failure and had an associate inspect the travel trailer. The dealer informed the contact to bring the travel trailer in for diagnostic testing. The travel trailer was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
