There has been a recall in effect since 5/10/23 - NHTSA Recall No. 23V3344; Manufacturer Recall No. N232404980, and there still is no remedy. I have spoken to our local dealership several times, called the GMC Manufacturer today, 8/19/24, and was told there is "no remedy yet; they are working on it. With this enormous safety recall, it is hazardous for drivers to utilize their vehicles without remedy. What can you do to get this pushed through? How many lawsuits will it take for GMC to "remedy" this issue?

MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH??? AND ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE WE RECEIVED THE NOTIFICATION OF THE RECALL WHICH I AM CERTAIN GM KNEW ABOUT LONG BEFORE THE NOTIFICATION, WE SIMPLY CANT JUST PARK THE VEHICLE AND WAIT. I AM SURE THE HEADS OF GM ARE NOT DRIVING ANY RECALLED AIRBAG VEHICLES. SO THE PUBLIC HAS TO RISK SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH WHILE WE LISTEN TO THE LIES ABOUT “SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES” THAT HAVE LONG WORN OUT THERE EXISTENCE SINCE THE END OF COVID. CORPORATE GREED AT WORK AND KNOW ONE TO HELP THE NORMAL FOLKS. WHAT WOULD YOU DO??

2016 GMC ACADIA- Santa Rosa, CA
I received a letter from GMC in June 2023 (14 months ago) notifying me of a safety recall on my 2016 GMC Acadia regarding front driver side airbag inflator. The letter said the inflator my rupture during deployment sending shrapnel (metal fragments) to the vehicle interior resulting in serious injury and/or death to the driver or other occupants. I have contacted a dealer for recall repair and was told there are NO replacement parts available and no date when they may be available. 8/2/2024 I contacted GMC regarding this recall issue and no parts. The representative said GMC has no date when parts may become available, that I would get a letter when parts are available. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND A KNOWN SAFETY HAZARD BY GMC. I can't sell my vehicle with an open known safety recall. EFFECTED OWNERS NEED ACTION NOW ON THIS RECALL, BEFORE MORE PEOPLE DIE OR ARE INJURED.
