While driving on the highway my front grill upper molding flew off and hit my hood and windshield. It ended up landing in the middle of the highway and other vehicles running it over.

Engine - catastrophic failure 6.2 liter V8. Vehicle is currently at dealer awaiting full engine replacement. Failure left me stranded waiting for tow to dealer. Problem has been diagnosed as rod and main bearing failure, engine replacement imminent. Vehicle was running perfectly fine all day. Went to take my daughter to basketball practice in evening initially everything was fine, then we heard squeeking, turned around to bring right back home, lost power in intersection, truck stalled. Got restarted check engine light came on and limp mode reduced power activated. Truck towed to dealer and oil pan was pulled. Rob and main bearings have scattered metal throughout the engine. Truck confirmed to need full replacement.

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2025/01/nhtsa-opens-investigation-regarding-gm-6-2l-v8-engine-failures/ I experienced an engine failure, similar to the ones that are currently being investigated by NHTSA on my 2022 GMC Sierra Denali. My safety was put at risk through the engine failure at high speeds on the highway. The engine failed and while driving through mountainous terrain, the vehicle automatically launched into neutral and I had to dodge several passing vehicles to get to a safe place on the side of interstate 40 in western NC. The problem was confirmed by the original dealership that I purchased the vehicle from. Randy Marion GMC in Huntersville NC. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the incident. It was sudden and without warning.

It is a known issue the OnStar modules fail and are on back order. They make you pay for 3 years of service on supply you a part that fails. This makes the phone app not work unbeknown to me when I had my kids and dog in the vehicle creating a safety is. This makes remote start and lock unoperable. This makes the GPS as well as the clock unoperable. This makes the sos call in emergency not operable.

I purchased my 2022 GMC SIERRA XLT in February of 2022. I have had it in the shop 4 times for recalls. They couldn’t or didn't put an inspection sticker on the truck because I honestly don’t think it could have passed inspection. The truck sounds like a truck on Transformer when I turn it off breaking town like a robot. On yesterday which was 1/27/2025 while backing up to turn around the truck started dragging in the back like the breaks locking up, the same thing happened while turning into my driveway off a state highway with an 18 wheeler coming. GMC can’t look at the truck until February 10! This Truck was purchased new and it’s been nothing but trouble. Electrical system goes in and out Steering assist reduced drive with care, Engine power reduced, park assist on then off and truck making unusual noise. I waited 13 YEARS to finally get another brand new vehicle and this what I ended up with. My last new vehicle was a 2004 Honda Pilot. I had 459,000 miles on the truck no engine or transmission issues. I donated the truck to Goodwill. Therefore, I hope GMC understands my frustration when my daughter’s 2019 Kia Optima is out performing my 2022 GMC XLT truck. The back breaks are dragging and locking up, it appears the gears are getting stuck and I can’t back the truck up or go in reverse without the struck staying stuck, then jerking vigorously and problems with the wheel turning to the right the truck get stuck or stall!
