2024 GMC SIERRA 3500 Complaints

The engine oil drained into the radiator from a flaw in there design in which outrageously high labor cost for the owner of the vehicle they put a rubber house in the radiator in which leaked without any warning indicating that there was a problem with the oil nor the radiator coolant system. repairs are in the thousand and I as a consumer should have this matter resolved at no cost due to bad design cost they should have made a oil cooler with its own separation compartment like the transmission cooler because they are replaceing everything else what about the engine itself thats still going to be contaminated like all the replacement part, seal hoses,and radiator, coolant, and thermostat. How can just parts be contaminated but not the engine? They are just replacing things that costs alot. This is a drive train issue, there were no oil in the engine.

My truck is experiencing the Brake Controller failures as documented in GM Bulletin N232414840 - Customer Satisfaction Program Intermittent Loss of Trailer Brakes. This problem has occurred several times over the past year. I thought it was the wiring on my trailer - so I checked and found no problems (plus it works properly on other tow vehicles). Additionally, the problem resets and works properly after turning the truck off and back on (resets the system). It then works properly until it unexpectedly disconnects again. I thought the problem was unique to my vehicle until I got online and discovered that this is a known issue for others as well (2024 GM HD trucks). I contacted my GM dealer (and GM's customer satisfaction center as noted in the bulletin) and they informed me that my truck is not covered under this recall (not one of the covered VINs). I told them that I'm having this issue and they told me to report the problem to the NHTSA. Needless to say, GM has not included all the applicable vehicles in their recall (like mine) and I need the issue corrected before it causes a serious accident.

Front wheel well liners keep falling out of place like they are melting. happens when towing and engine gets hotter than normal. Trailer is well below limit for vehicle. Liners fall onto the tire while in motion. This is the 4th time this issue has happened to my vehicle. Dealer replaces them and says it happens all the time.

I took the truck back in to find it had bluing on the rotors and the break pads have holes in them. I was told this came from over heating. They said it was missed on the pre sale inspection they did. I looked up info to see if this was a common problem and found the in 2022 GM changed the material to help with noise problems and this material had been know of premature break problems. The dealership denied doing the work under warranty. I called GM customer service and they told me to work with the dealership, the dealership called the district manager and all parties have decided to ignore the issue. I also have 2 of these truck driven by 2 different people with the same problem at the same millage. I will make a 2nd report for the 2nd truck.

I'm reaching out for urgent help regarding my 2024 GMC AT4, which is currently at Newby Buick GMC in St. George, Utah, with a transmission failure that occurred on Saturday, [XXX]. While returning from a horse show in Ogden, Utah, the truck began to experience severe transmission issues near Santaquin, Utah, around 5:30 p.m. Just before reaching Santaquin, the truck jerked violently three times-so hard that I immediately checked the camera system inside my horse trailer to make sure one of my horses hadn't gone down. That's how intense the jolt was. I pulled into a gas station in Santaquin and called the dealership right away. At the time, I had three horses on board, it was nearly 100 degrees, and I was hauling a large living quarters horse trailer. The service manager was initially unavailable, but he returned my call shortly and advised me to continue driving to St. George at a steady speed if the truck could manage it. He also warned that it might go into limp mode, and in that case, I'd just be traveling very slowly. My husband was on standby in case he needed to meet me halfway, but I was hopeful that I could make it to at least Hurricane, Utah. I was able to access my GMC app on my phone at the time and confirmed to him that the transmission check light was on, and I was receiving a warning notification on the app indicating there was a transmission issue. I was able to limp the truck as far as Hurricane, where my husband met me. We unloaded the horses into stalls and took both trucks into St. George that night to drop the AT4 off at the dealership. On Monday morning, I contacted the dealership for an update and was informed that the issue was likely related to the transmission valve, and that the required part is on national back order-with an estimated delay of two months or more, but no confirmed ETA. This has been my first GMC diesel. I've always driven Dodge trucks. The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500. The contact stated while driving at approximately 60 MPH and towing a Forest River Riverstone Legacy 5th Wheel trailer, the brake pedal was depressed to slow for oncoming stopped traffic; however, the vehicle failed to respond as needed with the “Service Trailer Brake” warning light illuminated. The contact was able to stop however, the brake pedal had to be depressed to the floorboard to slow the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer and was made aware of Customer Satisfaction Program: N232414840 - and replaced the Trailer Brake Power Module (TBPM). The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact returned the vehicle to the same dealer and the Trailer Brake Power Module was replaced a second time. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The contact had taken the vehicle to another dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the failure was with the 5th Wheel RV. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Tailgate opens when in park. Caused damage when parked in the garage. The tailgate hit the garage door. Recall under N242469160, but not attached to my VIN

Battery would not hold charge and would need jump start. Transmission would not stay in gear while towing trailer and would only go to 5th or 6th gear and would jerk out of gear and oil temperatures would go to 225 degrees. Erratically shifting and while driving with cruise control stop with out warning
