My wife and I were going 70 plus MPh on [XXX] in Georgia in the far left lane. Our car completely lost power were had to maneuver across 2 Lanes to get to the emergency lane it was very scary traffic was blowing horns and it was awful. We made it to the emergency lane and proceeded north at a creeping pace with engine making lots of noise. We made it to a hotel next to [XXX] we were in Savannah Georgia. We tried to contact the local GMC dealer but it was after hours so we stayed the night and next morning got a tow to Critz GMC. At Critz we were Informed our engine was beyond repair and needed replacement. They proceeded to offer me $10,000 on a trade in, said it would take 3 months to get a replacement engine so I called my dealer back home White Motors Roanoke Rapids NC and they advised it would take several months to get a new eng and they couldn't tow me in so I called David Towing and they said they would come get it for me in the next week. We to Enterprise to rent a car and there were none available for a week I decided to buy a new car from Critz to get home . On [XXX] my spouse was 20 Miles West of Jamestown, ND on [XXX]. Our 2022 GMC suddenly lost power at interstate speed, shifted into neutral. My spouse was able to coast the vehicle to avoid traffic and drift to the shoulder of the road leaving her stranded on the shoulder of the interstate. Vehicle has been towed to nearest GM dealer and diagnosed the problem related to recent recall. GM has been less than helpful in this scenario. This has created an extremely frustrating issue as I am informed GM knew about this issue prior to issuing a recall which in turn resulted in unnecessary risk to myself and family. I jumped in and turned the car on and started driving. Right away I noticed most of the warning lights were on. The first speed bump in the complex made me realize I had lost 80-90% of my brakes as if I had a broken brake line for example and steering was a little hard and pulling a bit to one side. I check underneath I did not have any leaks. I decided to take it to the Dealer to have it checked. Dealer said they were not able to find anything and cleared the codes. dash lights on: check engine lane depart drive assist ABS BRAKE

While driving 75 on the highway the vehicle shut off completely, shifted to neutral and a message flashed on the dashboard to "press start again". This has happened previously when my 16 y/o was driving but we chalked it up to user error. Scheduled appointment with dealership. There were no warning lamps, no lights illuminated on the dashboard. The vehicle just cut off and I have not been able to reproduce the issue.

The engine on my vehicle has been consuming approximately a quart of oil every thousand miles for months. I have made this issue known to the dealership who services my vehicle over that time period. The dealership (Radley Chevrolet in Fredericksburg, Virginia) and particularly the management has not been concerned about my issue. I have also contacted GMC. I've explained to Radley Chevrolet and GMC that as a [XXX] while in the military [XXX] that my vehicle will leave me and my family stranded somewhere without recourse. Both are aware of the ongoing issues and have not addressed my many documented concerns. I have an extended warranty, so I'm covered for parts and labor for years. Again, the concern is for my safety and the safety of my family. This vehicle could possibly leave me as [XXX] and my family on the side of the road. I have reported these concerns numerous times.
