While driving on the highway at normal speed, my vehicle was operating completely normally with no warning lights, messages, or prior issues. Without any warning, the vehicle suddenly lost the ability to accelerate and felt as if it had been shifted into neutral. I immediately had to pull over to the side of the highway, as this created a dangerous situation with surrounding traffic. The vehicle had to be towed to a mechanic. Upon inspection, I was informed that a coolant line connected to the transmission had completely blew off, causing a rapid loss of transmission fluid and resulting in total transmission failure. I was told this was not due to a rusted or deteriorated clamp, but rather a sudden component failure. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained and I have owned it for less than one year. There were no prior symptoms, leaks, or warning signs leading up to this incident. This appears to be a sudden and unexpected mechanical failure, not caused by neglect or misuse. The loss of power while driving at highway speed posed a serious safety risk to myself and others on the road.

Seeing the intermittent shift to park messages when the vehicle has been shifted into park and the ignition is turned to the off position. Shifter wire harness jumper & transmission controls A malfunctioning shifter raises fears of potential rollaway accidents, even if such cases remain rare. For anyone who has to park on a slope, this fear can cause serious worry. Yes, there is a service bulletin (19-NA-206) No, this is 1 of the only problems I have had with this. While traveling northbound on I-65 on Saturday, 1/31, the 6.2L V8 engine in my 2023 GMC Sierra AT4 experienced a sudden and complete internal failure. My husband was driving and I was in the vehicle with him when the engine lost all power without any warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms. We were only able to coast into a very busy on-ramp merge lane before the truck died completely, leaving us stranded in an active traffic area for over two hours on one of the coldest days of the year, which created a significant safety risk for both of us and for other drivers. My truck was towed to the dealership. They inspected the vehicle, confirmed it was a full engine failure, and replaced the engine under warranty. The failed engine only had just over 37,000 miles on it at the time of the incident. GM was notified through the dealer’s warranty process. No other agencies have inspected the vehicle.

The frame of the back window is cracking allowing water to come in through the back glass. This is causing the headliner and other components such as air bags and other electrical components to get wet and damaged. This could cause risk of fire or failure of safety components within the vehicle such as air bags, cameras and other sensors. With water intrusion comes the high risk for mold to develop and cause serious health risks. GMC is aware of this issue and will not agree to repair it. A GMC dealer has inspected the glass and said it was a faulty seal but since it's not in the 3 year warranty window, it's not covered. Independent auto glass companies state they have seen this issue many times and the glass seal is faulty. GMC should do the right thing and fix this issue. This devalues the vehicle and the GMC brand and poses serious risks to driver. I have created a case with GMC and submitted photos, videos and dealership estimates for proof.

It stalled twice while driving home, when pulling into my driveway it stalled a third time and would not start after that. Before having my vehicle towed to the Dealer from my home I connected my code reader and it posted code P0016. After being diagnosed by the dealer they informed me I needed an entire new engine. There were no warning lights or message prior to this failure My vehicle was purchased 9 week prior.
