2024 GMC ACADIA- Missouri City, TX
My vehicle only has 12,000 miles and it’s a 2024 and the brakes are constantly squeaking. I’ve reported this multiple times at my dealership and they are stating “this is normal and because of the new heavier materials there is not a fix for this.” I’m really concerned about this as it’s a safety issue. This car is also too new to be having this type of issue. I’m also apart of a owners forum and several owners are having the same issue. For the report today I’m putting the most recent date but as stated I have reported this several times with my local dealership Group 1 GMC here in Houston, Texas.

Vehicle would not start. Vehicle was towed to GMC dealership for inspection. Vehicle diagnosed with "Fuel Pump Driver Control Module" issue and needed to be replaced. This was a known issue for the 2021 GMC Yukon: GMC Service Bulletin: #24-NA-139 (Release Date August 2024) Emission Recall: N212332040 (Release Date September 2021) Emission Recall: N252516900 (Release Date September 2025) However, this VIN was not covered under the recalls and payment was required out of pocket. Recall(s) need to be expanded to include additional 2021 GMC Yukon VINs - including this one.

2022 GMC SIERRA 1500- OPELOUSAS, LA
The vehicle has stalled on multiple occasions while driving/shortly after driving, creating a serious safety hazard. On one occasion, GMC arranged towing because the truck stalled down the road and would not restart. GMC and the dealer have been notified each time. Since June 2025, I have repeatedly sought completion of Recall L87 and repair of the stalling condition. The dealership has declined or failed to complete the recall/repair, citing staffing issues and later claiming they did not have the correct oil. This recall was announced in April 2025 and my truck has been to the service center many times since, at one point it was there for 2 weeks and yet no one can help me with the issue. The truck was in the dealer’s possession for approximately two weeks without repair of this in July of 2025. GMC Customer Care initially indicated a buyback could be considered, then later stated they cannot review for repurchase due to a stop/sell hold on L87. see attachments! The stop/sell hold now prevents me from selling or trading the vehicle, leaving me with an unsafe and depreciated truck that GMC and its dealer have not repaired. The truck is also approaching three years in service, which heightens my need for prompt resolution. These facts satisfy “substantial impairment” and “failure to repair within a reasonable number of attempts/period of time” under Louisiana Lemon Law (La. R.S. 51:1941 et seq.) and constitute breach of warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The repeated stalling establishes a safety defect, and the extended time out of service and inability/refusal to complete the recall meet statutory standards for relief. This put my son, myself and other in direct risk and is continuing without the proper resolution.

OTA update GM N25-250380 caused significant problems. Blinker tone and other safety tones are erratic. Infotainment system is erratic. Constant reboots while driving causing distractions. Camera screens will freeze on screen while driving down interstate. It may be affecting other systems as well since everything is erratic and buggy now.

2020 GMC SIERRA 1500- Rocklin, CA
On Monday, [XXX], at about 1730 hours was traveling Southbound at 45mph on [XXX] approaching the [XXX] intersection. Vehicle alerted to the following codes on the dash; ESCAPE, Traction Control, Check Engine Light, Brake System Failure, "Do not exceed 62 MPH". I took foot off accelerator and looked up and noticed the traffic light turning red. I applied pressure to the brake and noticed there was no brake pressure at all, and the vehicle continued to roll forward towards the intersection. I put the truck in low gear to slow and continued to pump the brake rapidly. As the truck gradually slowed I turned truck off until it came to a stop. When I restarted the truck the brake hydraulic pressure returned and only the check engine light remained on. I took the truck to Reliable GMC in the Roseville Automall the next morning. The service department claimed the AGM Battery was bad and caused the front brake caliper sensor to throw a low voltage code causing a cascade event of codes throughout the system. The loss of my brakes nearly caused me to enter an intersection unwillingly and could have led to a serious accident. Electric trailer brake control module intermittently disabled trailer electric brakes while towing electric brake equipped trailers. This is the same issue addressed in GM service bulletin N232414840 which addressed a similar issue associated with GM pickup trucks. The loss of trailer brake utilization may create a safety hazard resulting from longer stopping distances. The factory control module was replaced with a redesigned module purchased from GM and the problem went away. I am of the opinion that the factory-provided module is a deficient design which warrants replacement by the vehicle manufacture.
