I get a warning whenever the car is placed on park with the shifter telling me to shift to park even though it’s already on park. This causes the car to not be able to turn off

2018 GMC SIERRA 1500- Sioux Falls, SD
The embedded navigation system in my 2018 GMC Sierra is no longer supported. Paid map updates were available until 2023, when General Motors discontinued them without notice. This system was marketed as a core feature and provided offline GPS guidance independent of cell reception. I discovered the change while attempting to purchase an update and was told there are no remaining copies and that no further updates will ever be made. I was never notified. When I contacted support, I was transferred through six departments. One representative admitted that customers were supposed to be informed but were not. She stated they are trained to say “there’s nothing we can do” and acknowledged receiving hundreds of similar complaints. She also confirmed the final map update existed but was allowed to sell out. This puts safety at risk, particularly for drivers in rural areas, areas with poor cell service, or while towing. The system is not CarPlay-based and does not rely on mobile data. It was the only in-vehicle routing system many drivers depended on during travel, including emergencies. Its quiet discontinuation means drivers no longer have access to accurate, integrated navigation—reducing their ability to safely plan or adjust routes while on the road. The failure to maintain this system or provide reasonable access to the final update undermines long-term vehicle safety and owner trust. General Motors has not offered an inspection, recovery, or remedy.

2024 GMC CANYON- INGRAM, TX
The Driver Information Center located directly in front of the driver that contains the speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure...etc., has a very distracting background. The background is a geometric patterns of triangles giving a sense of depth. This is very distracting especially at night. Quick looks to see speed, engine temperature or other critical vehicle information is complicated by this unnecessary aesthetic background. I reported this problem and it can be located here: [XXX] I've been advised to mail via USPS my concern to The Office of Defect Investigation Team which I will do today. There is a current recall on the 2018 GMC Acadia for a "Shift to Park" issue. It clearly states that GMC is aware of this issue and my vehicle is having this issue but for whatever reason, I am being told we are not part of the recall. My VIN is not coming up with it either but we are having the same issue.

2023 GMC YUKON XL- Erie, CO
GM issued a recall, N25249000 after hundreds if not thousands of complaints of catastrophic engine failure. My engine was impacted. It failed Sunday, [XXX]. I limped it to Mike Marroone dealership in Longmont, CO, on August 5th. That afternoon they confirmed my engine and various other components needed to be replaced. At this time GM was flooded with recalls and the whereabouts of all necessary parts were unknown and could not be tracked. It was so bad that the dealer could give no timeline as they had 5 vehicles waiting for engines. They also were replacing engines, and the replacement engine would fail immediately. Without notice, an engine and parts arrived after 3 painful weeks of sitting in the unknown. The vehicle was returned to me on August 23nd, 2024, 19 days after I dropped it off. During this time I was paying $977.50 for a car payment plus $130 for insurance per month. I had to pay this despite not having use of the vehicle for a recall that GM knew about but didn't do anything until it garnered national attention. The following is my response to the proposed warranty coverage for GM recall N25249400 and NHTSA recall 25V274: Based on the above information provided, I am requesting the 10 year warranty and 150,000 mile warranty be effective from the date the vehicle was returned to me on August 23rd, 2024. Additionally, I am requesting a check in the amount of $1,106.50 for payments directly associated with a vehicle that was not able to be used due to GM's failure. 2020 GMC TERRAIN- Paducah, KY
During a vehicle accident, my 2.5 year old daughter's car seat detached from the base and landed in the back part of my part. We were t-boned on the passenger side back seat. We spun and the car seat detached and she was flung around the car. She had severe whiplash, a contusion and possible fabric burn on her head. She was buckled in properly and the car seat was properly installed. Yes, all parties (other than manufacturer) saw and inspected the car seat.

2021 GMC SIERRA 1500- McAlester, OK
AT AROUND 60,000 MILES I HAD EXPERIENCED SHUTTERING AND JERKING IN LOW GEARS AND THE VEHICLE SHOOTS FORWARD WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. I WAS ABLE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN A SHORT TIME AFTER AND I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT IT NEEDED A TRANSMISSION FLUSH. I COMPLETED THE FLUSH AND AFTER A WEEK OR TWO IT STARTED DOING IT AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP AND THEY ADVISED IT IS THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY THAT IS BAD. I BELIEVE THIS STARTED HAPPENING BEFORE MY WARRANTY WAS OUT BUT DUE TO ME BRINGING IT IN AFTER THE MILEAGE THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. THIS COULD CAUSE MULTIPLE HAZARDS AT STOPS AND WHILE DRIVING. NO WARNING LAMPS OR MESSAGE HAVE EVER APPEARED.
