2024 GMC SIERRA 1500- Rockwall, TX
I received the vehicle recall from GMC and contacted my dealership to inform them I was having a lagging issue with power in my truck. I inquired if I can bring the truck in to have it looked at under the recall, but was informed that no remedy was provided, and I also have to wait until my VIN# came up for inspection which no date or time frame was available. The next question I ask was can I get a loaner vehicle based on the recall which can cause an accident with engine propulsion failure. The local dealership and GM failed to provide a loaner vehicle which I feel unsafe driving my current vehicle. I also asked the dealership if GM is willing to buy the vehicle back from me and yet again, no response. Local dealership is Heritage Buick GMC of Rockwall Texas.

2023 GMC SIERRA 1500- Glens Falls, NY
The original engine in my 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 (6.2L L87) failed in November 2023 at only 2,872 miles. The dealership diagnosed engine knocking and discovered a damaged thrust bearing and crankshaft with metal debris throughout. The engine was replaced under warranty. In April 2025, GM issued Safety Recall N252494001 for the same engine model due to connecting rod and/or crankshaft manufacturing defects. According to GM’s bulletin, engine failure can result in sudden loss of propulsion and increase the risk of a crash. Despite already experiencing this failure and being within the affected model year and engine range, I have been told the recall remedy is not available to me because the campaign applies only to dealer inventory vehicles, and my recall status remains "Recall Incomplete: Remedy Not Yet Available." I requested a safety inspection of the replacement engine, but GM has refused, citing the incomplete status. When I escalated to GMC Customer Care, I was told they could not confirm whether my truck is safe or unsafe to drive. This is after already being stranded once with a family vehicle that cost nearly $80,000. I frequently drive with my family and feel I am being left at risk. GM appears to be prioritizing unsold vehicles while leaving current owners without support or assurance. The current engine has not yet failed, but I have no confidence it is safe, especially as it may include the same defective components described in the recall.

2017 GMC YUKON XL- Macomb, MI
My transmission failed again after being replaced by General Motors certified dealership. The transmission in question has failed again after less than five months being back in service. In 2024 and 2025 my vehicle has been in and out of the service department at other dealerships and they cannot repair the vehicle according to the dealerships they do not have the staff for it. General motors will not stand behind the transmission as they have now labeled it as a part so they will not have to provide transportation. According to dealerships in my area in Michigan, they do not have the staff or the parts to service my vehicle. I contacted General motors customer service multiple times regarding the situation. We truly have a bad transmission again in my vehicle. The transmission in question is a C8 transmission that has failed due to shuttering and downshifting, which the replacement remanufactured transmission for $8000 continues to fail. General motors will not buy back this vehicle or address this ongoing issue. I truly believe I am not the only person with transmission issues as this is a major defect by the manufacturer, which is General Motors. Will you please look into my complaint is this is caused severe hardship to my family. General Motors needs to take responsibility for this failure to the transmission. I’ve had seven other items that have failed also on this vehicle, including the engine. Thank you for your time and consideration looking into this matter. Sincerely [XXX] . 2022 GMC SIERRA 1500- Sioux Falls, SD
The OnStar module is no longer working. When I purchased the vehicle, the green light did not turn on. I called customer service, and they advised me to take it to the dealership since they were unable to connect to the vehicle. I am unable to contact emergency services in case of an accident, and I cannot access services like remote location and remote start from the mygmc app. I have seen several people online state that their module failed as well. It's a common occurrence that falls onto the customer to pay for. An update to the module seems to be the reason so many modules are failing.

2021 GMC YUKON- Fort Valley , GA
The engine and transmission shakes and they say all this normal. Vibration occurs throughout vehicle at idle or driving at any speed. Also, rpm hand slightly moves up and down while idling in park. The vibration is more prominent in 2 and 3 row seats. I have taken it in about 7 or 8 times for the same issue to 4 different dealerships. Only one has actually felt the issue and visually saw the vibration/hop in rear of vehicle. The technician could not determine the problem as GM only allowed a visual inspection. He was not allowed to take anything apart so I am still left with the issue and it is getting worse. In addition, vehicle taken to collision shop to inspect frame, vehicle was within spec. Vehicle is now back at another dealership to address the issue. The only thing that all the dealerships have done is road force balance tires, alignment, and changed out driveshaft axle from a prior recall. I paid to have to have a differential fluid change still has vibration. At this point, it is concerning because as I stated the problem is getting worse. Also, dealers are looking for a computerized answer and I dont think a powertrain issue will be diagnosed this way. My truck should be under recalls but none has applied to it.

2015 GMC YUKON- Seagoville, TX
The transmission failed at 59,700 miles. The transmission will shift up and down by itself. The transmission is revving up when trying to pass and the vehicle will go limp for a few seconds and then the gear with kick in really hard. In stop and go traffic the transmission slips constantly and could cause an accident due to the limp mode.
