Engine has had recall and still no remedy for it. Paint is chipping off and back locks stopped workingp

Driving 58 mph then felt like I slammed on my brakes out of no where then sped up on its own to 42 mph then wouldn’t accelerate but rpm was at 5000. Shortly after my reduced power warning came on. Well the next 12 hours I went to reverse and had nothing! Now dealership is saying unknown timeframe for it to be fixed.

The vehicle was purchased for the express purpose of towing a 6,600 lbs Travel Trailer. This truck is equipt with the 3 liter Diesel engine. While towing the truck computer counts down milage available based on Def level. The count down is not mile for mile it is an exponential count down. This factor triggers a series of warnings concerning vehicle operation and impending speed restrictions. 1000 mile DEF range warning is first up. Followed shortly there after with a 300 mile DEF range warning (700 miles had never been reached to trigger the warning). The next warning is "DEF Low (red warning) speed restricted soon". Shortly there after a 500 mile count down starts for the first impending speed reduction to 65 MPH max. This is followed by other speed restrictions that will put the vehicle eventually into a 5 MPH speed restricted mode. When adding DEF to the tank the level has never been below 60% full. Its not empty as the gauge and computer indicate. With each filling of the DEF tank the range you can drive is less and less until the truck is driven without the trailer hooked up. GM has a service bulletin for this situation that has been in place since September 23, 2024 and no permanent repair of solution has been prescribed. During the 500 mile count down to the first speed restriction the instrument cluster is locked out to only display "DEF Empty" and alternately the DEF range counting down. No other safety features are visible such as engine temp or transmission temp important to know while towing. I Purchased this vehicle March 17, 2025 stating my intentions to tow a travel trailer. The dealership no GMC ever made me aware of the Service bulletin of the DEF restrictions. Had they done so I would have purchased a different vehicle with out the associated travel issues. Please reference GM Service Bulletin #24-NA-196 Document ID 6736285. This document was given to me after my 4 visit to a GMC dealership to have the issue addressed.

The vehicle would not recognize the truck was shifted to park. The gear shift was replaced in 2024 and the same problem occurred 9 months later. The first GMC repair location did not connect the shifter cable correctly, causing the problem to persist. I had to pay twice to resolve an issue seen in many of the 2017 GMC Acadia models. This problem should be considered a recall, and charges for repair should be covered by GMC.

My GMC was listed under a recall that came out in 4-24-25. This issue can cause loss of propulsion to my vehicle and can cause serious risk of injury or an accident if the issue does occur. I tried to call my local dealer in Auburn WA to address the recall and was told there is no fix as of yet. Because of how serious this issue can be I’m shocked GMC is dragging their feet on a fix. I think this needs to be looked into and expedited to avoid injury.

- #5 injector failure, no. - Once the injector failed, the vehicle would violently shake when trying to accelerate. - Yes, was not covered under factory warranty but replaced by third-party extended warranty. -Yes, replaced by the dealership. -No warnings prior, once the injector failed warning for brake system check and vehicle mileage limits set in warning.

While driving on the freeway, my truck suddenly experienced a severe and unexpected downshift into first gear at highway speeds. Dashboard warning lights immediately illuminated, indicating multiple system faults. I was able to safely pull over and shift the vehicle into park. However, after doing so, the truck completely refused to engage drive or any other gear. This abrupt and uncommanded downshift posed a serious safety risk, not only to myself but to other drivers, due to the potential for loss of vehicle control. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. It has now been at the dealership for over two and a half months, with no clear timeline for repair or resolution. This incident raises major concerns about the reliability and safety of the transmission system, particularly under high-speed conditions.

2024 GMC DENALI HD with approx. 12, 500 miles: The truck is constantly going into limp mode. Driving down the road, first it feels like the wheels lock up with a loud noise. Immediately goes into limp mode and check engine light comes on. Took it to the dealer yesterday 6/3/25 for repairs. I just spoke to my service advisor this morning where I was told it was the Valve Body of the transmission that needed to be replaced. However, they were on backorder and have no ETA on when they will get a replacement.

Major recall on Yukon with no remedy listed - unable to sell vehicle or trade in with open recall.

[XXX] once again while diving down the road 45mph Terrain once again goes in to park ,I was lucky the lady behind me wasn't to close .Also I contacted onstar when I was able to get vehicle moving at the store ..I told her what happen she ran diagnostics while parked at store said there was no codes I let onstar know this has happened several times..I had no warning, no indication, no lights came on.And I also let her know that this same vehicle was still stalling I was at intersection and the auto/stop is always on it will not let you bypass or default took it to dealership who I bought CPO back when it first would not let me turn it off cause its stalls at stop signs ,red lights etc crazy thing is if you turn the ac on it cranks up , if you hit the door unlock it starts... Thats not normal GMC knows that the dealership whom sold me CPO that wasn't the misleading is beyond crazy..GSM cussed me out It comes with life time warranty but when I had it towed right after I bought it 2 months ..I was talking about what the mechanics had said that this vehicle was in prior flood and accident GMC onstar has a different Vin then the one that on the vehicle..The doors are not original I can see the inside of steering wheel and on dash where they said air bags were deployed and they did a [XXX] job hiding it ... I paid over 32k for this 2020 Terrain that was advertised as CPO with 1 owner in Florida they showed me a fraudulent carfax, I pulled up my own and it came from New York ..This vehicle is not safe to drive but I dont have any other options..I have made complaint with both GMC and my finance company whom also wrote complaint on dealership and the told me I could rewind the loan but when I told dealership I knew that they sold me a vehicle that was not CPO and what I learned He came at me at dealership infront of workers and customers ..
