While driving the truck's stabilitrak and power steering lights came on and I lost the use of power steering. This first happened while going 70 mph on the toll road and I almost lost control of the car it happened so suddenly. I was able to pull over and turned the truck off and back on again. The issue seemed to have resolved itself. Then a week later I was turning right into traffic and it happened again mid turn causing me to almost hit a car in the adjacent lane. It resolved itself again upon restarting the truck but has happened with each trip since. When I looked up the issue I saw that there was an issue with corrosion on the electrical part that controls these features in this particular model.

On the morning of Thursday, [XXX], our 2022 Yukon Denali departed from West Richland, WA with the intent to arrive in Spokane, WA. After a short stop in Ritzville, WA around [XXX] local time, we entered the freeway ([XXX] to Spokane, WA) and attempted to pass a semi-truck. The vehicle got to approximately 60mph and then began to rev without any propulsion to increase speed. The vehicle shut off completely and stated that we were to put the car in neutral and attempt to restart. While going 50-60mph, we shifted into neutral and attempted to restart without any success. While the situation was extremely dangerous give the traffic (semi-truck on the right and an approaching vehicle directly behind us), we slowed the vehicle and maneuvered to the shoulder where we stopped the vehicle. The vehicle would not start so we leverage the OnStar system to call a tow truck. Unfortunately, there was no ride available being 1-2 miles outside of Ritzville, WA where transportation services do not exist. We requested the help of WA state troopers who picked up 7 of us (4 separate trips) on the side of the highway. The vehicle was towed to Spokane, WA and we were left to fend for ourselves to get to Spokane. The vehicle is in the shop and we are told based on the codes achieved that it is a full engine failure. For the past two weeks, when the Acadia is put into park and the engine is turned off, the warning bell chimes nonstop and a dashboard message appears to put the vehicle into park even though it is already in park. The vehicle needs to be restarted and then put into drive or reverse and then back into park. With irregularity it may or may not work. Sometimes the car must be turned on and off 5 or 6 times before it recognizes that the transmission is truly in park.

While driving the power steering goes off intermittently during a low speed turn either right or left. The dash goes dark and then the steering assist warning comes on or the trailer control light comes on. This looks to be the same issue that’s recall was issued for the year 2015.

My 2019 GMC Acadia with 33,000 miles on it started to give me a notification to "Shift to Park" even though I had already shifted the vehicle into park. A "ding! ding! ding!" alarm wouldn't go off and the vehicle wouldn't turn off unless I repeatedly changed the gears until it read it was in park. This went on for a few weeks and got progressively worse. I read on a GMC forum that the vehicle could slip out of gear while driving and potentially cause an accident. My mechanic found the shifter assembly to be defective and replaced the entire Gearshift Lever Assembly. He said there was a plastic piece in the gearshift that snapped off and said this was an issue in the older models but thought GMC had fixed this issue by 2019. Unfortunately, I was past my 3 year / 36K mile warranty and had to fork over $1300 to have it repaired.

When turning right, the turn signal overcancels, causing the left turn signal to come on.

The engine gave out without warning while driving on the highway at 70 miles per hour on April 11th 2025. Upon towing the vehicle to the local GM dealership, I was told the motor had blown and needed a full replacement. One week after, the recall comes out. I bought the truck used in 2023. I called the dealership I originally bought the truck from to ask about any past problems and was told this same incident happened to the original owner of the vehicle before it hit five thousand miles.

Stabiltrak system stops working randomly all the time. It is seemingly random. It can do it as soon as I crank the truck, but more commonly it happens when I am driving. The ABS also will cause the truck to pull harder in one direction either left or right randomly. I have to put pressure on the steering will in the opposite direction to keep the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Stabiltrak sensor 1st went off around October 2023. It typically doesn't come back on immediately if I power cycle the truck. No accident to report yet but when the power steering does no work while I'm driving, it is extremely hard to turn.

After only 47,000 the Yukon started with hard starts and triggering a check engine light. Owner suggested fuel issues, the dealership suggested a bad wire. They adjust the "bare wire", and mentioned that the fuel pumps on these vehicles have issues and they would order one- but give them a holler when we have additional problems. The Yukon continued to hard start, evolving into stalling when started. The dealership was alerted but due to lack of engine codes being stored the dealership couldn't help us. Eventually when driving 57mph, the Yukon cut engine on a busy route, driver was able to get the Yukon to the shoulder and attempted restart- the Yukon was dead. AAA attempted to battery jump the Yukon without success. We were without our Yukon for 8 weeks, being placed in random trucks that couldn't support our family size. Upstate Chevy of Attica was not help in the process. We did contact GM directly and received a case number 9-14907008493. The engine was replaced. The Yukon still doesn't seem to be 100%, with some slow to starts. We are asking for compensation toward another GM full size SUV. We are GM friends and family and have purchased several vehicles over the years. We'd like to trade our suv now for a new 2025 without engine issues- but since our Yukon was gutted, that is now noted on a carfax which devalues our trade.
