GM has has a known issue with a switch/sensor placed at the base of the shifter that causes the “shift to park” error message that prevents the electrical system from shutting down when the vehicle is physically in park and the engine is turned off, In fact, GM has issued a recall for several different models in which a “shift to park” error message is displayed because of the poor design; however, they continue to see the same issue occur but claim it is not a warranty issue (unless it occurs within 3 year/36,000 mile time frame. This is not an issue that can be caused by owner misuse, and I believe that GM should be held liable for repairs given that the issue is, and has been, known for several years now.

Ok I know my vin don't go under the 10 recalls for 2019 gmc sierra limited 1500 rwd, but my truck has the same problem with the brake module has those recalls I feel like gmc might have used different parts for the other recall but used the same brake module for my truck cause I have that same problem has the recall. It's obviously a issue that needs to be look in and my brake module should be fixed by gmc

starting in June of 2024 at 6500 miles my truck started exhibiting loud exhaust drones and severe vibrations coming through the dash, floorboard and steering column on excelleration. The truck has been in repair 7 times in the past 11 months and multiple parts have been changed. I learned that there are thousands of General Motors 1500 trucks equipped with the 3.0 LZ0 Duramax diesel engine exhibiting the same symptoms. A General Motors Field Engineer found Broken exhaust bracket studs at the engine block caused by exhaust alignment and engine/transmission mount stress from worn components. These trucks are coming from the factory this way and continues with 2025 model year. My son owns a 2025 GMC AT4X 3.0 LZO and has the exact same symptoms.

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal banging sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with catastrophic engine failure. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was taken back to the residence. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE25001 (Engine, Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000. The VIN was not available.

I have not experienced a failure as of yet. But the CP4 fule pump is prone to fail. With that failure the engine is destroyed as well. So why is there no recall to get the CP4 fuel pump replaced? GM has been sued correct? A settlement of $35 million due to the failure of the CP4 fuel pump. So why is there no recall to address the issue before it happens? I have contacted GM directly and got no assistance. They just told me to fill a complaint. My Vehicle is a 2016 GMC Denali 2500 with the Duramax motor. This issue needs to have a recall! Why should owners of these vehicles with the CP4 fuel pumps have to wait until it fails and cost thousands of dollars to get assistance or reimbursement. Would appreciate any help with this matter. My engine suffered a catastrophic failure, at 139468 miles. 2019 GMC Sierra Denali 1500. I had the engine replaced with a new engine date June 2024 GMC 6.2 engine failures is happening with more than just 21-24 models years.

All of this has been going on for a while but it's gotten to the point of dangerous. The Shift to Park keeps coming on preventing me from shutting the vehicle off even though it's, in fact, in Park. Then, "Steering Assist Reduced Drive With Care" keeps coming on. This will come on and off. Preventing the engine from heating up like it needs to be. Then the transmission keeps slipping. Was nearly rear-ended on the highway with my child in the car when it decided to start driving really rough and wouldn't allow me to shift to the next gear. This is also an ongoing issue. Another time I was almost hit in the side when this randomly happened on crossing the highway. This is absolutely absurd! I have had MUCH older vehicles without all these issues with many many more miles! I can't count the amount of times this has caused us serious hazards not to mention almost costing me my JOB! Interestingly enough, the same year/make/model has been recalled for the exact same issues yet for whatever reason GMC says MY model "was not affected by the recall". Funny how it's having the EXACT same issues as the ones on the recall list! GMC needs to fix this before they cause people to die! I'm a healthcare worker and this is disgusting!

Noticeable ticking from the motor, loss of power while driving and smoking. Took to dealership to for repairs. Lifters replaced on one side, within 30 miles after leaving dealership vehicle lost power and would not crank. Per dealership same issue with spun bearing and crankshaft. New lifters and crankshaft placed. While driving 3 weeks later vehicle shifted into neutral and lost power and hand to coast to side of the road. Replace battery and still would not crank, had to be jumped off and able to drive home. 3 codes were retrieved from reader.

My Acadia car has been having some problems with the shift to park. I put my vehicle on park and my doesn't turn off because it keeps saying that it hasn't shifted to park. Do to this issue my battery car has been draining and my family and I got locked in. I bought the car not to long ago and it's been an issue ever since its getting worse as time has past. I'm really wanting this fix as it can take hours to turn the car off.

General Motors has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exist in my 2024 model year GMC Sierra 1500 vehicle equipped with the 6.2L V8 gas engine (RPO L87). The connecting rod and/or crankshaft engine components in these vehicles have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure. If the engine fails during vehicle operation, the vehicle will lose propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash !!!! After contacting my local GM dealers, three of them, NONE OF THEM CAN OR KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THIS LIFE SAFETY ISSUE with my vehicle.
