The contact owns a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle suddenly experienced a loss of automotive power. During the failure, the message "Shift into Neutral to Restart" was displayed. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the piston bearings had seized, causing damage to the engine. The engine was replaced along with the radiator, oil cooler and oil cooler hoses, intake manifold, mega fuse, and starter. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was recently included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 122,691.

Coolant Control Valve malfunction causing fan to go on high. After several starts, engine light goes away but comes back sporadically. Safety issue is that when the light comes on it reduces the engine acceleration mid-drive. Coolant temp is normal but control valve is causing fan to turn on and reducing the engine acceleration.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V334000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2019 GMC Yukon. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, her husband noticed an abnormal tapping sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, who determined that the drive belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Gerry Lane Buick GMC (6615 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806) to be diagnosed and it was determined that the lifters had failed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided a partial reimbursement for the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

1. Vehicle automatic transmission failed during routine highway driving. Significant drivetrain vibration and limited gear availability. Warning lights included: ESC. - Electronic Stability Control TSC - Traction System Control Emergency Brake Fault light Power Steering assist reduced Flashing Yellow Engine Warning light. 2. White exhaust smoke upon arrival at GMC dealership. GMC technician advised full diagnostic would be required to assess extent of transmission failure and cause of white exhaust smoke. Service technician subsequently communicated that the engine was “failed” and would have to be replaced. Vehicle could not be driven and so full extent of transmission failure could not be assessed UNTIL ENGINE IS REPLACED!?!

At approximate 36700 miles. Upper top molding piece next to the grill, flew off while driving down the highway at 75mph hit my windshield and cracked it. Lucky no one was flowing me. This is the second one that's has broken. The first time was driving in South Dakoda the day after I purchased the truck and one side broke so I was able to stop at a truck stop and duck tape it until I was able to take it to the dealer. This seams to be a flaw, because read this has happen to multiple truck of the same model.

There was no police report filed, airbag deployment, or fire. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The insurance company deemed the vehicle to be a total loss. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

The contact owns a 2023 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that immediately after purchasing the vehicle, the battery failed and was replaced on two separate occasions. Additionally, while driving or reversing, the braking system erroneously activated, causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. During the failure, there were no other vehicles or large objects nearby to cause the Forward Collision Avoidance system to activate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on several occasions, but no failures were found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not yet been contacted. The failure mileage was 50.

The local dealer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Brake monitor repair keeps illuminating since 2/1/2025! Replaced all brakes and rotors, yesterday 4/27/2025. now don't drive over 43 mph illuminates, emergency brake illuminates says push brake peddle to disengage parking brake yet parking brake has never been engaged
