Truck has 30,000 miles on it. Truck has been in dealer for a new torque converter which they did a fine job. Now it is in for engine problems. They said I need a ew engine and on backorder. This is the Sierra Denali Ultimate and did not expect this from such an expensive truck. I was given a loaner car.

P0521 has been addressed/replaced almost nine (9) times. “Low Oil Pressure-Stop Engine” is another one that is not completely functional. The truck is using oil but we cant find evidence of leakage. Services performed at dealership or certified shop. Troubleshooting was performed, Im told. I cant vouch for the quality of the workmanship. This should not be an issue at this mileage 100,100 ohe hundred thousand miles and oil components going bad is not good. GMC has sold me a truck that needs a new engine component. Please help. 2021 GMC YUKON- Hoover, AL
The car is by hard shifting. The dealership found, “THE TRANS TO HAVE A SHUDDER AND DEBRIS IN THE TRANS FLUID INDICATING TORQUE CONVERTER FAILURE RECOMMEND REPLACING TRANS DUE TO TORQUE CONVERTER FAILURE SENDING DEBRIS THROUGH THE PUMP AND VALVE BODY.” The first time we brought the vehicle into the dealership they just replaced the fluid and didn’t inspect for failures. The dealership now did and if the torque converter fails the car won’t drive, if I’m on the freeway that could cause a crash or worse.

While driving my truck and making low speed turns the dashboard (including center console) cuts off, along with my power steering. The truck has also shut off completely making u-turns causing me to almost crash. This also happened while driving around 60mph on the freeway, the entire dashboard went out, loss of steering, and truck shut off, almost causing an accident. When it does happen, it will cut out in 1 second intervals and steering will work again for 2 seconds then cut out again for 1 second, this causing me to stall. There are no check engine lights, or service lights that stay on. However, I will get a message stating: You are memory setting 3 in the system (wording may be different). In some cases the stabilitrak light will come on, the park assist warning stating it shut off comes on dash, and trailer break. I have a full service AUL warranty and had vehicle checked at certified dealership and no codes were recorded. I replaced battery and the problem is still happening. This is unsafe and should be part of the previous recall as my symptoms are the same exact symptoms as the other 2018 recall.

2021 GMC YUKON- Sammamish, WA
I started the 2021 Yukon Denali this morning and there was a slight squeaking noise coming from the front of the car. I began driving and the noise went away. I parked the car and completed an errand. I then started the car to return home and on the way it started making the noise but much louder. I pulled over and the car died and refused to start. GMC Roadside Assistance sent two different tow truck that were not able to tow the car. Tow Truck #1 - Flatbed truck. Car did not go in to neutral because it couldn't start so the driver said that he was unable to pull it up onto the flatbed. Tow Truck #2 - Tow truck w/ Dolly wheels. Driver said it was too heavy for his Dolly to tow the Denali. GMC Roadside Assistance then said that they're two trucks were unable to pickup the Denali and that I was on my own to call and get a tow truck and they would reimburse me. I am on the side of the road all morning not knowing what tow truck company nor what type of tow truck to ask for...... Denali still does not start and am now awaiting a local tow company to make the pickup. GMC Roadside Assistance was a total failure.

2018 GMC ACADIA- Roscoe, IL
A warning popped up on my dashboard stating "Power steering reduced. Drive with care." multiple times. Whenever the warning popped up, my air conditioning would stop working and my engine fan would run very loud. The warning would go off and back on over the course of a year. This started in the beginning of summer, 2024. On 4/3/25 I took it into an auto mechanic shop and after they looked at this warning, they confirmed that the thermostat has an issue where it gets stuck in the "open" position, therefore the thermostat isn't working properly and my car thinks it's over heating, when it's really not. If my car were to overheat while this thermostat wasn't working properly, my engine could overheat or worse. The thermostat part is being replaced today so after today, it won't be available for inspection upon request.
