The pre-collision warning and the lane keep assist are disabled while driving frequently. It does this on its own. I have had into the shop one other time for the same thing. It’s happening more frequently now. Current mileage is 25,153. Also the personal settings on the dashboard reset on its own every five or so key cycles. Obviously there’s some kind of software problem.

Complete engine failure confirmed by GMC dealership service technicians. Incident Details: On [XXX] while driving at approximately 45-50 mph on [XXX] , my vehicle suffered a complete engine failure without warning. This resulted in sudden loss of power, inability to accelerate, no warning lights, near-accident, and the need to pull over in unsafe conditions. This failure placed me and my son, as well as others on the road at risk of serious harm and has left me with no confidence in this vehicle’s long-term safety and reliability—even with an engine replacement. Lack of illumination of headlights straight ahead. No light shines to the sides of the vehicle making it difficult to see left or right when negotiating a turn at night. I have put new bulbs in both sides the best money can buy at CarQuest with no improvement. The headlight lenses are not dirty or fogged over. It appears to be a design problem, and I have seen other people with this model truck complain about the same thing on some blogs. I contacted GM directly looking for information I can get on a possible upgrade, and they have offered not solution. I have had this issue with this vehicle since buying it used 4.28.2018

On [XXX], at approximately [XXX]., I was driving down a highway and my vehicle engine just stopped. The dash went blank, I lost power and steering and there was no warning. I had enough momentum to partially stop on the shoulder of the highway but part of the vehicle was still in the flow of traffic. It was a dangerous situation for sure, especially since I had my [XXX] son in the car with me. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership where I purchased it, they said it was a connecting rod failure and I would need a new engine. This was on [XXX] and I still do not have my vehicle, they said the engine was on backorder. I have been in regular contact with GMC customer service and they have been largely unhelpful and unwilling to explore any other option that me just waiting for an engine to come it. I am now in my 9th week without my vehicle. The way they have treated me is unacceptable and they have not even acknowledged the danger that this defect put me and my son. - Mills River, NC

We were driving down the interstate at around 70mph and without warning - the vehicle shut off. The engine stopped running and the vehicle put itself in Neutral. The headlights and electrical all shut off and the only message on the display was to push start to restart the vehicle. Luckily, we were able to safely maneuverer out of traffic without being hit by other vehicles. Our vehicle was able to be restarted once we came to a complete stop and put the car in park. We are having he vehicle towed to our local GMC dealer to have it evaluated. The issue only happened one time.

First time it happened was on November 28th 2024 around 8pm, turned de engine on, selected the reverse gear and stepped on the gas, the reverse gear was selected but the gear didn't worked at all. I almost hit a car that was passing on the street. I out the gear on drive and got the message "reduced acceleration". I believe that is a known issue by GM's 10 speed gearbox. The car is at the dealership and they informed me by e-mail that the part transmission valve body is in a "do not sell list". I have concerns about safety because losing power on a 70miles per hour road can be dangerous and not being able to reverse is also very dangerous. There are tons of posts about it in Facebook.
