GMC Complaints

While driving vehicle slowed down then stopped & would not restart for a while. After 15 mins was able to start but now try to drive & vehicle is vibrating tries to move forward then vibrates again stalls the engine dies then starts rolling backwards. The vehicle will restart but try driving the traction control comes on drives for about a foot then cuts off & rolls backward

The contact owns a 2016 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 MPH, there was a knocking sound coming from the engine compartment before the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local mechanic who determined that the engine was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 140,000.

Timing chain stretching or breaking that can cause drivers to have a wreck or lose control of vehicle and also causes damage to the engine

While on highway service brake system warning light came on,brake became hard to apply almost causing an accident. Vehicle had to be towed to a repair shop(dealer).after paying over $1600 the problem was not resolved and found there are numerous complaints about issues with the terrain and no recall issued.are they waiting til someone dies before a recall?

All 5 tires including the spare are dry rotted, and have become extremely unsafe in wet weather conditions. Truck came with these tires and only has 27k miles with a lot of tread left.

The battery run out of charge. After a battery boost the car turn on and work OK except that the signal lights did not work first, then they turn on by itself. Same thing happened with the warning lights. The AC stopped working, The wipers wash pump does not work, the outside lights do not turn to high and stayed on after the car is turn off. I took my car to the dealer 3 days ago and they are not able to find the issue even though they contacted GMC directly and worked with their technicians.

The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Vehicle stopped dead in road while driving on highway. Vehicle unable to shift into park, neautral or drive once engine ceased. 19,000 miles and 1 year of ownership, oil change and service at GM dealer less than 1 month prior to engine failure.

WE WERE IN A CAR CRASH. THE AIRBAGS ON THE SIDES OF THE VEHICLE BUT NOT IN THE FRONT. THE FRONT AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE GONE OFF.
