In 2 opportunities when I am going over a SPEED BUMP my SUV senses the bump as a possible hazard and stopped the car from 25 to 0 in a fraction of a second. BOTH Times I have had passengers with me. Almost got rear ended this last time. I went to the dealer the first time this happened and they did not give it enough importance and denied to disable it.

This recall is unresolvable and is preventing Honda from certifying my vehicle to refinance it. The part is NOT broke, I can't fix it because it's not broke, and until all recalls are cleared on my vehicle, it can't be certified. This is RECALL INFORMATION [XXX] Issue: Honda Financial will NOT approve a loan without an outstanding recall. -Open Recall – See below -My vehicle is experiencing NO issues; the light/sensor is not impacted -I offered to have it replaced/fixed – Honda doesn’t allow this -I carry full insurance and am required to when the vehicle is financed. -I have a history of maintaining the vehicle; I don't believe that it’s my fault it’s not broken. -My vehicle is appropriate collateral for this car loan ECOA VIOLATION Honda Financial has violated the VA Fairness in Lending Act, Truth in Lending Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act. I am being denied a loan for no reasonable reason or plainly stated: Honda is denying creditworthiness based on collateral they deem doesn’t qualify, but there is NO remedy to qualify, and the only entity to qualify is the affiliate corporation of the lending institute. I received notification from Honda of a recall on my battery cable harness. The defect increases the likelihood of a fire during a crash. The notification was revevied in January so I called to make an appointment to have it repaired. I was told the part was not available and to call back in 30-days. I contacted another dealer in my area and they told me the same thing. I've been calling every 30-days and get the same response, "call back in 30-days." The notifiation states if I can't get the repair done within 60-days of trying to make an appointment, I could file a complaint with your agency. Therefore, I'm doing just that. It's been almost 5 months.

Honda was using an "indirect" tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) for several years, from at least 2020 to 2024. This indirect system shows a Low Tire indicator on the dash when a change in tire pressure on any of the four tires changes. It does NOT indicate which tire is affected. Thus, you are forced to check all four tires manually. This requires that you find a safe place to pull over and check the tires. You have no way to know if you are getting a flat without exiting the car. The system is VERY sensitive and will indicate Low Pressure if the change is even for a couple of pounds. I recently met someone who had the exact same vehicle as mine. We compared notes. Her CRV does the same thing and we both have experienced a bit of anxiety from it. Honda will tell you to "just recalibrate the system", but that does nothing but tell the vehicle that the tires are now OK at the new levels--even if one is low. This is a safety and performance issue. A Honda salesman told me today that they have gone back to a Direct system with individual tire pressure indicators on the new models. Apparently there have been a LOT of complaints.

The high-pressure fuel pump in my vehicle failed. Unfortunately, this component is no longer available for inspection as it was repaired with a rebuild kit during repairs at the dealership. The failure of the fuel pump created a driving hazard. Due to insufficient fuel supply, the car exhibited erratic behavior, including the inability to maintain consistent speed. This caused the vehicle to drive at unusually low speeds, which impeded the flow of traffic. If this failure had occurred on the highway, it could have led to a fatal accident. To my knowledge, there has been no formal investigation into the failure of this component. The dealership rebuilt the high pressure fuel pump but did not conduct a thorough investigation into the root cause of the issue. The only indication of the impending failure was the activation of all warning lights on the dashboard when the car was started. Additionally, the vehicle became difficult to start. The first occurrence of this issue was on 06/08/2024, and the car became inoperable immediately after the initial warning signs.
