2022 HYUNDAI PALISADE Complaints

2nd row captain seats come unbuckled on there own after correctly buckling/ latching them. Has done it multiple times while driving down the road on my adult children and my younger children

Passenger rear seat (middle row) belt comes unlatched on its own while the vehicle is being operated. The latch is currently securing a [XXX] boy (approx. [XXX]) for most of the time the seat belt is latched. The seat belt in most cases remains latched however it is slowly becoming more progressive. The left rear passenger seat (middle row) is currently latched securing a car seat with no issues present and no issues present at third row seat belts. Cruise control resume function was activated at a low speed after making turn into driveway car automatically tried to resume to 55 mph. The speed at most during the time of activation was less than 10 mph.

Rear shock leaking and in need of replacement at 39,000 miles. Note multiple owners on forums citing the same issue

Vibration in rear shocks. Car makes regular thumping noises. Bad insulation caps. There is a technical service bulletin 22-ss-001H to replace them under warranty. It is a temporary fix and the problem develops again. My car is no longer under warranty.

Driver's seatbelt is unlatching while driving spontaneously. It is also having issues latching and staying latched. The dealership was not any assistance, as they said it was likely maybe dirt in the seatbelt (there isn't any debris). This is a huge safety concern, as we have a young child and are now concerned about the rest of the seatbelts doing the same thing.

While driving the car on highway the oil plug fell and eventually seized the engine. There has been multiple complaints for the same for other Hyundai vehicles as well. The car is in dealership right now with engine failure. While driving the car on I-81, suddenly smoke started coming out of hood. Stopped to check and then while starting the car again, saw oil check and engine check light come on after. The dealership mentioned oil plug fell off and oil spilled all over engine. The last service was over 7 months ago and was due for service soon. Couldn’t be negligence but a problem with Hyundai.

The seat belt on second row of Palisade Hyundai 2022 does not latch all the time, and it is a safety issue. Keeps happening on and off since I bought the vehicle. Dealer doesn’t want to fix it, as when they test it 2 it works.

The driver side wiper stopped working after heavy snow. The right side under carriage screw came out so it was hanging but eventually got torn off.

Vehicle randomly burst into flames while parked and shut off in our driveway beside our home.vehicle is total loss. Fire department determined fire started driver side rear of vehicle in wiring. Diehl Hyundai of Sharon was the last dealer to proved service and closed the recall on this vehicle. Vehicle model is known for this type of fire. Dealer did not make us aware of this recall before purchase. Vehicle was purchased specifically for towing ability.
