2025 HYUNDAI PALISADE- Frazee, MN
Following a dealer transfer assembly replacement under warranty on a 2025 Hyundai Palisade, technicians failed to perform a post-repair alignment and left the driveshaft unseated. The 2nd dealership we went to subsequently misdiagnosed the resulting suspension warping as 'tire overinflation' on June 5. As a direct result, my family unknowingly drove thousands of highway miles across state lines to MT and SD with an unseated drivetrain and a completely loose structural subframe bolt, presenting a severe risk of catastrophic suspension/steering failure at highway speeds. They misdiagnosed 3 times and claimed to do test drives each time, but each time we got in the vehicle, we heard the noises, they said they could not hear. Had a mechanic ride with to verify the noise, and only diagnosed the driveshaft unseated afterward, but not the subframe bolt, which the structural defect was finally confirmed on August 25, the 4th time at the 2nd dealer.

On XXX at approximately 5:20 PM, I was driving my 2025 Hyundai Palisade in [XXX] near [XXX] and [XXX] when the front sunroof glass suddenly shattered with a loud explosive sound. The outside temperature was approximately 102°F and conditions were sunny. I did not see or hear any object strike the sunroof before the glass failed. There was no collision or other event immediately preceding the failure. The interior sunshade was closed and contained much of the shattered glass. The front sunroof glass was extensively fractured while the surrounding roof and rear roof glass showed no apparent impact damage. I have photographs documenting the condition immediately after the incident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

At 16 thousand plus my car was at a stop light and stop/stalled/shut down what ever you want to call it. The auto stop was on but this was not the problem. I physically had to restart my car in traffic. The next time I experience this was at 20 thousand plus. We were in the hospital parking garage and the car again stop/stalled/shut down and I physically had to restart it again. This time I was driving with the auto stop off. I have experience this again at 21 thousand plus. Again I was at a stop light. The auto stop was off. The car stall/stop/completely shut down again. Car had to be restarted while again in traffic. Hyundai had been notified of the stall/stops. This was the last time I was dealing with this problem and took it into Happy Hyundai in Libertyville Illinois. They had it for a week. They did run test, but the car was not giving any codes. Happy Hyundai did not run it over the weekend for on my bluelink I get notification. On Monday my husband called and told them to drive it because this is when we are experiencing the problem. Happy Hyundai drove it once. Tech was not able to replicate it. My husband also took Happy Hyundai to let it run. They let the car run. This is what happen when we were in the hospital parking lot. We were sitting. The safety of the person driving the car is at risk for a accident. There have been reports on they Hyundai facebook web sites of the car stalling while driving at speed. I carry my handicapped daughter in my car. This stall/stop becomes a worry some problem, not knowing when it is going to shut off again. This has caused me much anxiety. I don't even want to drive my car. This is a accident waiting to happen. Along with many law suite's. No dash board cluster lights were on when the car stall/stop. Car has been inspected by Happy Hyundai and is now going back per Hyundai Coporate wanting a tech to pull codes.

I am the owner of a 2025 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy FWD, VIN [XXX], which currently has two unrepaired safety recalls. The most concerning unresolved recall is NHTSA Recall 25V607 / Hyundai Recall 283, involving front-row and second-row outer seat-belt buckle assemblies that may contain out-of-specification components. According to the recall notice, the buckle may fail to fully latch under certain conditions, creating an increased risk of injury to occupants in a crash. I have been attempting to have this safety recall remedied, but Hyundai has been unable to provide the necessary replacement part. The dealership has advised me that the seat-belt buckle part was ordered but remains on backorder. Hyundai Motor America Consumer Affairs has also confirmed that they are still waiting for the part to arrive at the dealership. I have repeatedly contacted both the dealership and Hyundai Motor America regarding this unresolved safety recall. Hyundai assigned my case to National Consumer Affairs under case number XXX. I have been given multiple promised dates for updates and phone calls, but those calls have repeatedly been postponed without the recall being remedied. Hyundai has most recently confirmed to me in writing that it is still "diligently working on getting the seat buckle order into the dealership" and that I will be contacted by the dealer once the part arrives. My vehicle also has an additional unrepaired safety recall, NHTSA Recall 26V034 / Hyundai Recall 292, concerning third-row ejection mitigation requirements. I understand that recalls must be repaired at no cost to the owner, and I am not asking NHTSA to resolve a customer-service or financial dispute. My primary concern is that I have an unresolved safety recall involving the vehicle's seat-belt restraint system and Hyundai has been unable to provide the remedy because the necessary part remains unavailable. I am requesting that NHTSA document this complaint and review the circu INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

This 2025 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is a “Top of the Line” model loaded with automatic gadgetry that is NOT ready for Prime Time or any roadway. It is unsafe for the following reasons: Problems appear to be software up-date related; the software updates way too often via overnight web connection. These updates not only change existing status of mundane systems (hatch or doors unlocking opening, etc.); these updates appear to insert bugs into the operating system which then affects the safety of automated vehicle systems which then create unsafe driving conditions on roads. The biggest safety concern is with Hyundai’s “Smart Cruise Control” system. When a driver chooses a set speed they want to follow, here is what happens often: The Hyundai Smart Cruise Control is turned on and a driver “attempts” to index to the desired speed. Once this speed is actually attained all is good. IF the posted road speed limit increases from 25 MPH to 40 MPH the driver has 2 choices, hold the speed increase button in for 3 seconds for a 5 MPH bump up OR press the button quickly for 1 MPH bump ups. Instead, here is what happens OFTEN, a 3 second hold jumps the speed to 65 MPH desired speed! Or, a quick bump jumps to 50 MPH desired speed! It is random and sporadic to what actually happens, so a driver must pay attention and cancel cruise control quickly, then get things back to normal and begin over. All this occurs while moving on a roadway at speed, hence UNSAFE biggly! Also, what happens, these vehicles front view camera read the posted speed limit (on a street-side sign) and “automatically” sets the posted speed into the Hyundai “Smart Cruise Control”. It has upped this SUV’s speed to 95 MPH and 75 MPH automatically! The driver needs to be attentive to what the automated “Smart Cruise Control” systems are actually doing; all while driving on busy roadways! This is VERY UNSAFE! I believe web software updates are creating these problems - STOP updates immediately.

What happened: A franchised Hyundai dealership installed aftermarket window tint on a new 2025 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Night Edition prior to sale without disclosing it as a dealer add-on. When the vehicle was brought in for an active manufacturer safety recall concerning the rear quarter-window glass, the dealership informed us that the official factory recall remedy (applying a protective safety film) cannot adhere to window tint. Because the dealer-installed tint prevents the recall protective film from adhering, the dealership was unable to perform the safety recall unless the window tint was permanently removed or omitted. Component involved: Rear quarter-window glass and safety recall protective film. The vehicle and windows are available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: The official Hyundai safety recall addresses an issue where the rear quarter-window glass poses a potential safety risk. Because the dealer-installed modification physically prevents the application of the recall safety film, the vehicle remains without the manufacturer's required safety recall remedy. Furthermore, dealership service personnel initially advised us to simply waive or decline the safety-related recall rather than resolving the modification conflict, leaving a potential safety hazard unaddressed. Dealer Confirmation & Inspection: The issue was confirmed by the authorized Hyundai dealership's service department and Service Director in writing. They verified that the recall film and the pre-installed tint are physically incompatible and that the recall remedy was omitted as a result.
