Unknown issue, but the car has auto braked 2x on the interstate going 65mph. No cars were around me nor any objects in the road. It stated auto braking and sensors going off. Resolved itself within 60 seconds, but did almost cause me to be rear ended because a tractor trailer was quickly approaching me.

Occurred on [XXX] while travelling in the middle lane of a 3-lane highway just west of Raleigh, NC and heading west. The Emergency Brake Light came on, the car stopped suddenly and my head shook from side to side. This could have been a major accident if the traffic wasn’t light. I do not tailgate and there were at least 6-8 car lengths between me and the car in front. No cars on either side. There was no beeping warning from the vehicle about being too close to other vehicles before the car stopped. I pressed on the gas pedal and the car moved forward. The weather was about 50-60 degrees, dry road and sunny. Next Step: Called Hyundai Customer Care on [XXX] and was advised to bring the vehicle in for inspection and correction. Took the car into the Hyundai Autonation dealership in Buford, GA, where the vehicle was purchased. They found nothing wrong. Note: Have researched this problem online and found multiple instances of the same occurrence. While driving on [XXX] at 65 MPH, without warning the sunroof spontaneously exploded and shattered. It produced an extremely loud bang, like a gunshot, startling me to where I almost lost control of the vehicle. There were no vehicles in front of us, no vehicles behind us, and nothing above us (not traveling under a bridge or overpass). We were traveling in the state of Mississippi at the time and it was 58 degrees and raining, NO HAIL was coming down ever. The dealer cannot explain why this would happen but would not cover it under warranty. The vehicle is brand new with 4,100 miles on it when this occurred. Insurance company is paying for the repair which is now complete. The shattered sunroof is thrown away but I have pictures of it right after it happened. In a parking lot at a church I slowed down, going 1 mile per hour or less. Upon taking my foot off the accelorator to put my foot on the brake pedal, so I could come to a complete stop, the moment my foot came off the accelorator, the engine reved up and lunged forward at about 10 mph. I was suprised and took an extra second to apply the brakes. In the mean time, my car went over the curb, grass and onto the side walk, a good 10 feet. If anyone had been on the side walk, I would have hit them. Additional information: the transmission was in "Snow Mode", it was snowing and cold outside. Attached photo shows tire tracks of the incident.

4 times there has been an error message with a large P symbol and a red triangle on the dash board. The large P is surrounded by a yellow circle and it says below to check P Button. This is an intermittent situation and does not always do it when at the dealer, BUT they have witnessed it. They tried 2 fixes but neither worked. I am concerned since there is a red triangle at the bottom of the dash that this is a serious issue. Hyundai will not expedite this and will not allow me to speak to anyone about it that might be able to explain what might be causing this issue. Customer service just says we couldn not replicate the problem. I told them I understand this. I WISH to know what is causing the computer to send this message and they will not tell me or look into far enough to determine what it is. I am not driving the vehicle until they can tell me if it is a safety issue or not and they will not do that.

I have taken my vehicle back into the dealership because my car will sometimes unlock itself, I am constantly having to check the doors to make sure they are still locked and most of the time it has unlocked itself. Most of the time I hear it unlocking as I am walking away. It is very disturbing. It also beeps as if another vehicle is going to crash into me and most of the time there aren't any vehicles anywhere near me. The phone charger does not work, i have been having issues with this from the beginning. The steering wheel also says I have to put my hands on the wheel when I have them on the wheel. I have a video of the car going a lot of rpms and it barely moved, a golf cart passed me up. The car also locks up sometimes when I am backing up. I drive my parents to San Antonio for their Dr. appointments and am a little fearful of staying stranded either direction. My father is very ill and I am their driver. The dealer insists my car is the only one having these issues but I have read on reddit and other platforms of other Santa Fe's with similar issues. These issues do not occur ALL THE TIME, but this does occur at the most inconvenience time.

Whilst driving the vehicle a number of warning lights appeared on the dashboard. This occurred after the vehicle was brought to a stop at a stop sign. There were no outside influences before or after the warnings began. The vehicle remained operable and was driving back to our residence approximately 1 mile away. I made an appointment with the local dealership to investigate the issue. The appointment was made for the following day. Whilst driving the vehicle to vehicle to the dealership on the following day the brakes became temporarily inoperable forcing me to leave the road and hit the right hand kerb. After pumping the brake pedal several times the brakes re-engaged and I was able to stop the vehicle. The dealership have explained that a rear wheel speed sensor (ABS) had failed and was sending messages to the the braking system which made the braking system inoperable. The dealership replaced the sensor and at this time the vehicle is operating as expected.
