2020 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL EAGLE- Windsor, CO
The contact owns a 2020 Jayco Eagle travel trailer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V425000 (Equipment). The contact stated that the furnace was not operating properly, and the contact had to switch propane tanks. The dealer was made aware of the recall but informed the contact that parts were on backorder. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. 2019 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL EAGLE- Forbestown, CA
The contact owns a 2019 Jayco Eagle. The contact stated that the trailer was rocking a bit intermittently while driving approximately 55 MPH. The contact stated that the trailer was taken home and he noticed that the subframe underneath had fractured. The contact took the trailer to the dealer who informed them that the frame was no longer covered under warranty however, the springs and axles that had collapsed were covered. The contact took the trailer to a body shop who stated the frame was repairable. The trailer had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 6,000.

2021 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL NORTH POINT- JACKSONVILLE, FL
The contact owns a 2021 Jayco Northpoint. The contact stated while inspecting the RV it was discovered that the rear driver’s side tire had experienced balding. After measuring the axle, it was determined that a 5/16-inch discrepancy on the driver’s side of the axle was present which caused the balding of the tire. The RV manufacturer and the axle manufacturer Dexter Axles were notified of the failure and the axle was replaced. The contact was not informed if the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V665000 (Suspension). The failure mileage was 3,300.

2021 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL NORTH POINT- Spear Fish, SD
The contact owns a 2021 Jayco Northpoint RV. The contact stated while parked in a parking lot, the contact was inspecting the vehicle and became aware that the passenger’s side rear tire inside edge was worn steel belts were showing. The contact had an RV mobile tech replace the tire with the spare. The contact then slowly drove the RV to a local dealer who diagnosed the failure as a bent rear axle and that the axle was welded incorrectly on the RV. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Jayco Pinnacle. The contact noticed that the shackles and leaf spring was fractured and failed. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the mechanic was unable to provide a diagnostic test. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

The contact called the dealer where he purchased the vehicle and the dealer had not returned the call to schedule an appointment. The contact then called two other RV dealers, Kunes RV of Stoughton West (1842 Co Hwy MM, Oregon, WI 53575) and Willies RV (8234 WI-64, Bloomer, WI 54724) but offered no assistance. The manufacturer was also notified of the issue but offered no assistance. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. 2017 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL PINNACLE- Bartlett, IL
The contact owns a 2017 Jayco Pinnacle trailer. The contact stated that the leaf spring failed. The contact stated that the leaf springs were previously replaced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V091000 (Suspension) however, the repair did not correct the failure. The contact noticed that the rear driver’s side tires were touching each other. The contact inspected the tires and found that the leaf spring was fractured. The contact stated that a mechanic also inspected the driver’s side rear tires and verified that the leaf spring was fractured. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The leaf spring was not replaced. A failure mileage was not provided.

The contact owns a 2019 Jayco Eagle HT. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V425000 (Equipment). A dealer was contacted and informed him that he had the part available to repair the RV however, the contact had to repair the recall himself. The contact then called Rangitsch Brothers RV and Manufactured Home Center (2001 W Broadway St, Missoula, MT 59808) where he was informed that they had to order the part and that they would service the RV under the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the recall and informed him that there was a part shortage and that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2020 JAYCO NORTHPOINT RV. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE REAR AXLE BENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CAMPING WORLD OF WOODSTOCK (505 PHILLIP LANDRUM MEMORIAL HWY PARKWAY 575, WOODSTOCK, GA 30188, (888) 380-0095) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REAR AXLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE RV WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V665000 (SUSPENSION) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO PARTIALLY COVER THE COST TO REPLACE THE AXLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE CONSUMER STATED MULTIPLE AXLE FAILURE ON THE FIRST TRIP. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE UNABLE TO HELP WITH THE FIRST AXLE FAILURE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE CAMPER HAS BEEN DISABLED FOR 11 MONTHS.
