2015 JEEP CHEROKEE Complaints

No incident but ridiculous that Jeep/Mopar cannot find a remedy for this URGENT Fire risk after 3 years - it's time to fix this so the vehicles can be parked safely in doors - or not at risk when person is driving car.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact received a recall notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V338000 (Electrical System, Structure) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled while merging. The contact’s wife was able to coast the vehicle to safety and then restarted the vehicle. All the warning lights illuminated. The contact then stated that the windshield wipers were inadvertently turned on. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that he would receive a call back to schedule an appointment however, the contact was not notified. The dealer also confirmed that the part was not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed to take the vehicle to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The following NHTSA Recall Number23V-338 was issued on May 11, 2023 and has not yet been resolved. The manufacturer is stating that parts are not available. It is pertinent that the manufacturer be pressured to provide the final resolution to this issue immediately as the risk for fire is extremely high.

When it rains water leaks into my cargo area filling up my spare tire well. it also soakes the insulation in the sides of vehicle. It has cause a short in the rear ligts on vehicle which I am not sure but could cause a fire or electrical failure. Has there been any recalls for such . Last occured on or about

The lug nuts have continued to swell over time. They have either fallen off or become close to impossible to remove for the dealer. Dealer stated that it is a known issue, but an official recall has not been executed yet.

fire hazard with rear lift gate and car can not be parked in garage or close to house or other cars. no remedy from FCA since May. This is unacceptable and an ongoing fire and safety hazard. The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle started shaking abnormally. The vehicle hesitated while accelerating with an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The Service 4WD warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 99,490.

I've read all of these complaints online about issues with the same situation that I'm having issues with. Everyone that owns a Jeep is having the same issue. With the service shifter light, it comes on often after 12000 miles. Being put on the vehicle in everyone's statement is the same. What is it going to take for someone to look within this issue? To see why our service shifter light keeps coming on. After so many miles, I have had this issue serviced in the last three years 3 times. Why isn't the complaints enough for this to go into a recall status. It is unsafe for us to keep driving our families around in these vehicles And this issue keeps coming about what if this issue starts, causing other issues within the vehicle? To shut off, while were on the road driving to our destinations. How and when what? We get a piece of mind from having to deal with this situation, Day in and Day Out. If any proof of this situation is needed to be shown, there is no pictures in my phone only proof I have is through the dealership who's had the replace it 3 times
