2014 JEEP CHEROKEE Complaints

The vehicle shaking stop it by itself and acceleration stars slow takes longer for second gear then pushes back and forth as it’s getting fast or to a stop

On several occasions returning from Montana to Missouri, while flat towing our Cherokee behind our Motorhome, when driving on uneven pavement (typically when entering construction zones) the Jeep goes into a terrible wobble which can only be haulted by completely stopping. On one occasion there was no shoulder to pull off and with only one remaining lane of traffic, we stopped all traffic behind us to remedy the situation. Only by the grace of God where we not involved in a collision OR the cause of one. I have just learned in researching this site, that this has been a known and ongoing problem. Jeep needs to be forced to at minimum send warnings to all owners where this potential problem exists.

Emergency brake locked into on position and will not release..park malfunction indicator lamp came up and stayed on..I told dealer there was a service bulletin(08-060 -16)out on it and of course he never heard of it..in my research I found it was a common and very dangerous issue on jeep cherokees because of water intrusion into the connector inside the vehicle ..this should be a recall not a bulletin in my opinion..

The contact did not report any injuries. The contact took the vehicle to an unknown dealer where the parts were ordered for repair. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 155,000. The VIN was not available.

My car kept going on neutral last year all of a sudden while driving and we did not know why. We took it to the dealership and they told us everything looks fine. Today I saw there was a service transmission error showing and when I did further research I saw that many other 2014 Jeep’s had this same issue.

I put the 2014 jeep Cherokee latitude in reverse backed up . Tried to shift to drive . It stopped at neutral and stuck . Would not shift into any gear . The motor wouldn’t rev or anything . And could not turn engine off . Had to disconnect battery There was (p) light on , the check engine light, traction control light .

After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure and no repairs were performed. The contact indicated that the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Gas cap warning light. The night it appeared, got gas filled up the car gas tank. Put cap back on tank , pulled out drove approx. 1/4 mile car completely shut down at a red light and has several times. I ask dealership about it. They cleared code. Said I could buy a new cap I did. Did not help. Have it at mechanics today for testing. He thought there was a recall for this problem but I did not find one.

I tried to start the parcked car by moving the stick shift in driving position, but the car didn't start. The car made a cracking sound when i tried to start it second time. Sonetimes when i slow down to a speed lower than 60 mph, the car tries to stop. I did not take the car to a dealership to be cheked.
