2018 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE Complaints

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while parked, the vehicle would not start. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the TIPM and PCM needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 119,229.

Backup camera remains on while driving. I am unable to use any other features on the screen.

Have a 2018 jeep grand Cherokee that audio and, computer control screen is delaminating, causing erratic behavior of the stereo and other random controls like the heated seats turning on and off caused by the delamination of the screen shortly out of the manufacturer warranty of 36,000 miles and I took it to the dealership and they told me it was not covered under warranty and that I would have to pay for a new computer controlled screen I feel this is a safety concern because it can cause distracted driving

When refueling the vehicle, the fuel pump handle must be inverted in order to deliver gas. Without such upside down delivery. the pump shuts off.. The Inverted handle delivery creates a health and safety issue as gas can easily overflow the tank fuel filler tube. My wife just spent three days in the hospital after being bathed in gas, and now has heart and vision issues as a result. Jeep has a history of gas filler tube issues. Numerous Internet blogs report the same issue.

We bought this vehicle brand new in 2018, since then it has had an entire new engine, numerous check engine lights and safety recalls. There are now 2 recalls that pose a risk for my family and I with no solutions provided. Chrystler refused to buy back the vehicle or provide us with a loaner while a solution is not available. This type of business is not right. I’m left with an unsafe vehicle.

Component: Active headrest suddenly exploded and hit my head pilot seat while driving in a highway at 55 MPH, the head restraints inadvertently deploy without crash impacts. Safety: I was driving with my wife and my kid 6 years old, when the headrest exploded I lost control of the vehicle for second, lucky they were not cars close to me. Dealer: I went to the dealer, and they check the part and they explained that it has to be replaced for a new one and that I need to pay around $800. Inspected: I called JEEP/FCA number they gave me a case number never called me back and then I called them again after 4 days and they said even 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee have this problem, my VIN number is not cover with their warranty. Warnings: Zero warnings, no lamps, messages, sounds, etc...

The screen on the UConnect system in my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently started delaminating. More recently, it has started to randomly change radio stations or make other "phantom" changes while I'm driving without me touching anything. This is clearly a safety issue as it is very distracting while I'm driving. After extensive research online it appears that this is a very common issue with vehicles like mine and Jeep hasn't done anything to help owners get this issue fixed. I keep my car in great shape so there hasn't been any user damage.

It’s over $1k to repair and not covered under warranty. This is a common problem for the make and model vehicle and there are several forums inquiring about the same issues. Statistically this is a problem that’s deserves immediate attention. shortly after my purchase we experienced a pandemic that caused a financial strain. It’s unreasonable for the maker to put the burden on consumers. When they choose produce a products that’s effects the well being of there customers. This is the 4th Jeep I’ve purchased I have never dealt with this until now. so why would they change the vendor unless it was minimizing manufacturing cost making this an ethical issue as well
