I purchased a 2022 Keystone Alpine 3720MD fifth wheel RV from Bish's RV in Anderson, Indiana (Modern Trailer Sales at the time) in February of 2023. Starting in early 2024, I noticed a crack starting to form in the fiberglass exterior wall on the driver's side of the RV originating from the lower left-hand corner of the opening for the master bed slide. Over the past 7 months, that crack has continued to grow in length as well as get wider over time. I am very concerned about the structural integrity of the underlying frame of the RV as I have read about many other owners of Keystone Alpines experiencing "frame flex" problems with their 2022 RV's. I have submitted pictures of the problem to Bish's RV and took it to them for an inspection on [XXX]. After the inspection, they acknowledged it was a frame flex issue and said they would be submitting it to Keystone for warranty coverage. However, I have not been able to speak with Bish's RV since then, even though I have called repeatedly. They do not answer their phones in the service department and do not return messages. I would like to get this problem resolved before the problem gets worse or results in some type of catastrophic failure while driving it on the road resulting in an injury to us or another driver. Unit has suffered damage to the chassis due to frame flex. An attempted repair was made by the manufacturer during the winter of 2023/2024 but again failed during the summer of 2024. RV was taken to a local dealer where a “Flex test” was conducted, unit failed the test as it exceeded the manufacturers tolerances. Unit has since been parked at the dealership while I battle the manufacturer on an attempted solution. This frame flex and failure is industry wide and affecting many RV’s.

Lower part of trailair tri flex pin box was about to fail. If lower flex part of pin box failed trailer would have separated for connection to fifth wheel hitch on truck. Two of the three pins that connect the kingpin to the rest of the assembly had failed and separated. One pin was holding king pin to assembly

Component failed: while traveling at 65 mph on [XXX] the black tank (waste tank) fell from its mounting brackets and hitting the road way. At the time approximately 10 gallons on clean water was in the tank. No warning or way to know it dislodged from its brackets. I was flagged down by a passing motorist. How was your safety at risk: Routed under the waste tank there are approximately 12 power wires, generator fuel lines (connect to 30 gallon fuel tank) and propane lines. (120 gallons), When i came to a stop and surveyed the damage along side the road, i realized my generator was running, caused by arching/shorting wires. I had numerous hot wires sparking and arching. the tank fell forward out of its mounts and the front was dragging on the road way along with the underbelly insulation. The generator fuel lines were loose and pulled from their mounts, but fortunately were not leaking. After the vehicle was safely secured and removed from the roadside, it was taken to a Keystone dealer in Saco, Maine. The dealer confirmed the tanks slid from the mounts, the technician stated, when installing the new tank, he was able to move the mounting brackets inwards to better secure /hold the tank in place. My tank brackets were moved one inch inward. In short, the process to install the tank mounts in the correct position is not repeatable. Dealer charges were $1,509. supplies to secure tank and connect wires were ~ $200. I have invoice, unable to upload. The vehicle is available for inspection, although repairs have been made. No warning lights or messages or symptoms were given. the tank is not visible from the underside due to the chassis insulation and shielding. When posting my experience on the Facebook Keystone Raptor website, I learn of 5-6 others who experienced the same issue, include a video with a tank dragging down the roadway. The pin box is moving separately from the framework. What this means is the structure the holds the pin box is starting to fail which could cause the camper to separate from the truck when being pulled down the highway which could cause injury or death to people on that highway. It's a known defect

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250 hauling a 2020 Keystone Alpine equipped with HiSpec Tires, Tire Line: JURL4, Tire Size: ST235/80/R16, DOT Number: 041JUHPRL. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH and going uphill, the front driver’s side and rear passenger’s side tires sustained blowouts. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The tires were original equipment. The vehicle manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire manufacturer was notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 7,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 43,000.

The floor in the living room/kitchen area felt soft, so we removed the underbelly of the camper. It was noted that 2 cross members were broken away from the frame and 2 more have broken welds on the bottom of both sides. There is also a crack in the frame near where the door-side leaf springs attaches. This can only be viewed from the inside of the rail. This can be viewed upon request. This structural damage is making the camper unsafe to tow as the frame can flex too much and lead to camper disengagement. It is also causing the tires to rub on the inside shoulder increasing the risk of tire blow out. The camper is scheduled to be assessed by a local camper dealership. Pictures have been sent to the service department. A claim has been made to the insurance company but no adjuster has seen the camper at the time of this submission. The only symptom noted was a soft floor inside the camper due to no support. The exact date that this occurred is unknown, but symptoms have been getting worse over the past year. It is important to know that this vehicle has not been involved in an accident.

The frame has broke on this camper, Keystone knows it has an issue with the welding not being correct, they sent out a TSB for this because of the large number of incidences. This then causes many other items to break when frame is broke, including slide outs, roofs and doors and interior walls. Rain gets into doors and mold develops too. ****Also the fuse box for the camper is located behind a slide out. Once the slide out is in it is impossible to access the fuse box which is a major safety and fire concerns. We have had this happen when a continuing electrical issue caused us to not be able to move the slide out to get to the fuse box. An electrical issue that is never fixed properly each of the many times we have had our camper in to be fixed. Our camper is at the service dept now for 9 months and still isn’t repaired.

This was part of a prior recall. Vehicle Information : Keystone RV Company SEP 29, 2022 22V-726 22-437. We had it repaired because we lost our footpad shortly after purchasing the trailer. The recall was issued in 2022. Memorial Day weekend 2024 the exact same footpad came off again after supposedly being repaired at the dealership. It caused tire damage that had to be replaced. Luckily no one was injured.

The propane regulator on this RV was recalled by the NHTSA recently as it was venting propane under high temperature conditions. The replacement regulator is of such poor quality, less than 1 year later the hoses are cracked and worn to the point where I do not trust them to hold propane. This is an item that previously had zero signs of wear, no cracks or damage to the hoses, but was faulty from the manufacturer and therefore recalled. I contacted Keystone who was happy to provide me with replacement parts, but at full retail cost. This part should have a usable service life of far longer than one year. The hoses are far more unsafe than the faulty regulator as they would allow liquefied propane to escape rather than just a little bit of gas propane under extremely hot conditions. My regulator was only replaced about a year ago, the regulator is also not exposed to any sunlight, so it is unlikely that sun damage could account for this issue.
