Flex frame failure/cracks. This affects the nose and 5thwheel hitch structure. This is a known issue that they flex and brake under the bed slide. I have not driven mine more than 200 miles so it has not appeared yet but ai am watch so many others go thru the issue with the exact same model. 1, 2 or 3 times, due to poor welds, no support guests, etc. I have had more than 30 issues with my RV. Keystone shows lack of concern.

50 amp cord reel is defective. When plugged into a 50 amp outlet, My electrician found power all the way to the reel, but not to the internal fuse panel. These cord reels are known to have these issues as the fingers behind the power connection tend to arc and or corrode causing only one leg of power to make it to the fuse panel. I've contacted keystone and they refused to do anything about it. I'm afraid this could potentially cause an electrical fire in my RV unit

After buying this trailer brand new, we took it on our first out of state trip. We drove from Minnesota to South Carolina roughly 1000 miles. In the location of the front kitchen slide out there is now a crack forming diagonally from the lower corner of the outside of the slide out. After doing research we learned this is what shows on the outside of the fiberglass when aluminum frame welds are breaking. We contacted Keystone, they started a warranty claim and gave us contacts to call. So far the only location Keystone gave us in Minnesota told us they no longer will do the repair because Keystone does not reimburse them fully for the repair. In hopes to get them to help I offered to pay the difference, waiting to hear back. Other places are now a year out in scheduling for the repair. Keystone also informed me they will not be doing any reimbursement for any inconveniences this is causing.

One of the batteries overheated causing hydrogen sulfide fumes to enter the RV coach. This was a battery supplied with the RV when purchased new.

Welds all over the structure continue to break. Multiple cross member welds have failed. Multiple wall stud welds have broken Multiple floor joist welds have broken.

The sidewall of the camper is cracking at the front, lower corner of the left front slide out. This could be an indication of a major structural issue within the wall of the camper. This crack is located in an area of high stress due to the design of the 5th wheel camper. If the structure fails while the camper is being towed at highway speed, a catastrophic event would occur endangering my life and possibly the lives of other motorists. These seems to be a known, recurring issue in many Keystone/Alpine 5th wheel campers around this model year. My camper is available for inspection and repair. I just found the crack yesterday (4/2/2024) so no inspection has been done by the manufacturer or repair service. The movement causing the crack appears to be somewhat minimal (though I have no proven way to measure the movement) at this time but I’m afraid it will get worse and lead to a catastrophic failure. It certainly won’t get any better without repair.

The contact owns a 2023 Keystone Cougar. The contact stated that the emergency exit window casing was too long and the inside window glass did not fit evenly. The contact stated that the window casing was unusually wider than the frame unit. The contact received recall NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V169000 (Structure). The recall repair was completed. However, excessive caulking and screws were applied, and the recall repair was not completed proficiently. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 10.

This unit experienced frame flex or frame failure. This frame was constructed by Lippert and has failed causing broken welds, the body to shift and move causing visible stress cracks in the exterior of the body. The interior incident happened in December of 2022 and repairs were attempted in March 2023 only to happen again. This has resulted in the trailer being unsafe to tow and could cause bodily injury to my family and others on the road.

The driver side main support beam that runs the entire length of the trailer from front to back cracked. Also, many of the support beams that run the width of the trailer were twisted and nearly falling off. We had to replace the entire main support beam on the driver side as well as smaller supports that ran the width of the trailer. The first repair was in June 2022 for the smaller support beams. The second repair was in April 2023 for the long, driver side support beam.
