2020 KIA NIRO- San Diego, CA
When I’m braking at slow speeds, 10mph or less the front left tire braking system locks and makes the car skid. This happens randomly. There’s also a clicking sound made from the regen braking to switching to regular braking. The mechanic replaced the hca assembly and wiring kit from a recall but the car is still having the same issues. This also brings up the codes EBS and AUTO HOLD on my dash.

2021 KIA SELTOS- Reading, PA
My 2021 Kia Seltos has experienced repeat internal engine damage related to oil consumption. An intake camshaft previously failed and was replaced by Kia. The vehicle has now suffered a second camshaft failure (exhaust cam) with dealer documentation of oil starvation. Prior recall SC336 was addressed only with a software update and no mechanical engine inspection. Despite documented oil starvation and repeat internal damage, Kia and the dealer have refused recall reassessment or engineering (Techline) review and are treating this as an out-of-warranty cam failure. The vehicle experienced timing issues and near-total oil loss prior to scheduled service, creating risk of sudden loss of power while driving. I am requesting investigation of recall adequacy and engine defect.

2018 KIA FORTE- Wesley Chapel, FL
While driving the car with the flow of busy traffic, the engine failed and the car stopped. It eventually turn back on (side of the road) but now drives with hesitation, a strange noise, and with the engine light on. This cycle continued until we arrived at the repair shop. And after much research, it seems that this experience is common for other Kia engines. Why was mine not included? Someone could have been badly injured!

2025 KIA EV6- McKees Rocks, PA
initially filed XXX (1/2/2026) 2nd (additional info) filed XXX (2/10/2026 3rd (3 page service report) XXX (2/11/2026) Vehicle is registered to Christopher Rojik, however it is my car that I drive, etc. today I am filing this for you folks that since I filed the complaint with Kia Corp. and sent them the service report, etc. Today, 2/19/2026 I received a formal Settlement Agreement and General Release to sign and accept. I am not signing it, as well as it fully releases Kia from any future issues, etc. outside of the warranty and whatever other details it claims. This will or should be the last for me to file. I had no idea they send me this kind of offer. As it is listed specifically as a "GOODWILL GESTURE" and they are not accepting fault or something like that. I attached inidividual pages, hopefully I can upload them as pdfs, we will see. If not I'll take quick pics and attach. thanks INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2022 KIA SORENTO- GLEN HEIGHTS, TX
The vehicle has less than 75k miles, and I am the second owner. I was driving, and the vehicle lost power. Creating a traumatic experience that could have been fatal. After Kia had inspected the vehicle, I was informed that I needed a new engine and it would cost 8k or more, and my extended warranty would not cover it. Kia has current recalls for similar issues.

2023 KIA SPORTAGE HYBRID- Freeport, NY
3 times in the last two days, and dozens of times over the last six months, while driving or while idling, the "check hybrid system" warning has flashed. When it happens the car does into limp mode, where it will go no faster than 13mph. this has happened in the left lane of a highway where there is no where to pull over except the lane, since there is no time to get over before the vehicle shuts down. the car essentially will shut down in the middle of driving, no matter where it is. Especially with my kids in the car it is terrifying hazard. I have brought the car to the Kia service and since its not easily reproducible they have not been able to help and have offered no solutions.

2020 KIA SPORTAGE- Kansas City, MO
Car was driving, stopped at a stoplight, never moved again. 3 lights came on, Check Engine, Check Oil (Which had been serviced previously by a month and a half), and Check Battery. Bob Sight Kia has stated Engine issues associated with the rods failing and the starter not functioning due the the manifold, I am uncertain to the technical terms. It was late at night, the area only semi lit up and I had to wait for a tow in unsafe conditions as I was stuck in a turn lane. Prior to the failure, no issues. This is my only means of transport as a waitress, I had recently moved into this area and plan to move again at the end of year, so my car is much needed. From the theft issues of this car to the mechanical issues over the last year, I can honestly say I will not be buying a Kia again. What I need to know now is has the threshold been met by the standards you have set through complaints by consumers like myself and the manufacturer information that a recall or a means of financially assisting this situation exist yet? The repairs quoted are literally almost half of what I owe on the car left and I do not know what to do, but am hoping to hear from you.

2024 KIA EV6- Santa Cruz, CA
Vehicle Information: 2024 Kia EV6 (VIN: [XXX] ) Mileage at time of failure: 14,005 Complaint Description: My 2024 Kia EV6 experienced a complete failure of the 12-volt battery system despite the high-voltage traction battery showing approximately 80% state of charge. The vehicle became completely inoperable without warning. The 12-volt battery was fully discharged and the vehicle would not enter READY mode. The vehicle required a jump start to become operational. After being jump started, the 12-volt system did not appear to charge properly, suggesting a failure of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU), which is responsible for converting high-voltage battery power to maintain the 12-volt battery. This failure created a significant safety concern because: The vehicle became completely disabled without warning. This failure occurred while driving in heavy traffic, it created a hazardous situation. The vehicle’s electrical systems, including safety systems, depend on the 12-volt battery. There are known reports of ICCU failures in Kia and Hyundai electric vehicles that result in identical symptoms (sudden 12-volt battery discharge despite adequate traction battery charge). This suggests a potential systemic defect rather than normal battery wear. I am filing this complaint due to concern that this issue represents a broader safety defect affecting multiple vehicles and may require investigation or expanded recall action. 2015 KIA SOUL- Boise, ID
My 2015 Kia Soul (VIN: [XXX] ) experienced sudden catastrophic engine failure: loud pop, knocking, and immediate loss of power. The engine has a hole in piston #2 and a hole in valve #3. This is a known safety defect included in the Hyundai/Kia Theta II engine settlement. My vehicle has KSDS update installed, but Kia and the dealership are denying warranty repair unless a specific code (P1326) or rod-bearing damage is found. The engine failure occurred without warning and placed me in danger. Kia's refusal to cover a known safety defect leaves an unsafe vehicle unrepaired.
