2018 KIA SOUL- Keene, NH
Purchased 2018 KIA Soul from KIA dealer [XXX] in New Hampshire. There was 57,100 miles on the car at time of purchase. The vehicle was manufactured in South Korea in May 1, 2017. There is a potential safety issue concerning the absence of the rear view camera. The U.S. Government provided automobile manufacturer's beginning in 2014 a time limit for the installation of these safety devices to be completed by May 2018. Having owned vehicles with the rear view camera installed the last ten years, I would like the NHTSA to investigate this issue which poses a serious hazard in so far as reverse driving and pedestrians are concerned. I believe that is why the rear view camera was ordered by the U.S. Government in the first place. I would like the camera installed or a refund equal to the cost of the installation, labor and price of the instrument. Thank you. 2017 KIA OPTIMA- Dawsonville, GA
Warning lights displayed for ABS and ESC systems. Had Autozone pull the OBD2 codes which indicated the left rear wheel speed sensor failed resulting in failed/disabled ABS and ESC systems. I replaced the bad rear wheel hub/sensor which corrected the problem. I no longer have that failed component. A few months later, warning lights came on again. I again had the codes pulled by Autozone and this time it was the right rear wheel speed sensor. I have the new part but have not yet replaced it so I could keep the defective part for the right wheel. The first one failed in April 2024 and the second in November 2024. This seems to be a bad design with two of the same parts failing in the same timeframe affecting two main safety features of the vehicle

2024 KIA SPORTAGE- Ocala , FL
Since day one of my purchase I noticed All warning light turned on and goes off while driving over an hour I thought it was normal as it’s my first Kia so continue to drive and it did same when ever I go on long drive and after 2 months it started vehicle to loose power and I always has to stop and restart the engine. Continued with same issue and all of a sudden it stopped on interstate and this time the car bogged out and engine shut off which was a dangerous situation for my whole family as cars behind would have hit us and cause multiple car collision I called my dealership to add this issue on my appointment for first service so it can be taken care of and I dropped off the car at dealership and after road test they confirmed that yes it has issue where multiple lights comes on and off so they don’t really know what’s causing the issue but will try to change the infotainment screen which they think is the issue might solve it so they kept my car for more than 90days and got my car back with scratches on dash and digital display bit shaky but according to milestones look like they tested if the issue been solved. ????

2016 KIA SEDONA- Lebanon , IN
in June 2026 sever engine knocking at startup and during slight acceleration lead us to have vehicle inspected. there were no warring lights on and no other indicators of issues. An independent mechanic as well as a Kia dealer performed inspections and indicated a lifter bearing failure due to inadequate oil delivery. at the time the oil level was within range and within 3,500 miles since the previous oil change. Dealer indicated a complete engine replacement was needed due to the bearing failure and damage to the lifters.

2025 KIA CARNIVAL- Titusville, FL
I was turning onto a main thoroughfare fare, and the van was slow to accelerate, Engine light briefly blinked, then went off, and then when I was on the interstate I had to pull over the van was running rough. Once I went back on the road, the steering wheel was shuddering and finally the engine smoothed out. This has happened more two other times to me.
