2016 KIA SEDONA- South Bend, IN
Engine failed with no warning lights. Oil completely gone with no signs of leaks. Coolant reservoir empty with no signs of where it went. No warning lights of any kind illuminated. Dealer claims rod bearing failure and cannot explain where the oil or coolant went. Engine shows exact issues as the other Kia 3.3 4 cylinder that have known faults that are causing fires and accidents. The Kia 3.3 V6 has the same issues and can cause serious accidents. Kia claims they are offering the same remedy as the 3.3 4 cylinder but they are not.

2015 KIA SOUL- Moreno Valley, CA
I was making a left turn onto a street and the check engine light started flashing and the car immediately went into limp mode. Code is showing p1326

2022 KIA SOUL- Edwardsville, IL
The contact owns a 2022 Kia Soul. The contact stated while stopped at a traffic signal, the brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle shuddered and then stalled. The contact stated that while attempting to restart the vehicle, the check engine and battery warning lights were illuminated. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle and the vehicle was towed to a dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer advised the contact that the failure might be related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V099000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the dealer would not replace the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

2021 KIA SELTOS- Norfolk, VA
The contact owns a 2021 Kia Seltos. The contact stated while driving at approximately 5 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The check engine and Battery warning lights were illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V099000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 55,547. Parts distribution disconnect.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? POWER TRAIN, OIL CONSUMPTION, CAMSHAFT POSITION , CIRCUIT SENSORS A X 4, HEADLAMPS HIGH BEAMS DO NOT FUNCTION.CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FAILS. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I DONT FEEL SAFE DRIVING AFTER SUNSET IF I CANT SEE ROAD WHEN NEEDED MY HIGH BEAMS DID NOT FUNCTION I WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED BUT THERE WERE NO PARTS. STILL AN ISSUE. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? YES about 4 times. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? NO BEFORE THE 4TH WEEK OF HAVING VEHICLE AFTER 3 WEEKS OF PURCHASE WITH NO OIL.I REPORTED IT TO Y SELLER WAS TOLD TO PAY TO FIX AT SERVICE BUT I DID NOT EXPECT TO BUY A FAULTY VEHICLE AFTER THE STRUGGLE WAS TO OBTAIN SUCH VEHICE FOR MY BUSINESS.

2019 KIA SOUL- Las Vegas, NV
The contact owns a 2019 Kia Soul. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH and attempting to overtake a Commercial Semi-Truck, the vehicle suddenly lost automotive power and started to decelerate. The vehicle coasted to the side of the road and stalled. The vehicle was later towed to a nearby dealer who diagnosed that the fuel injectors had failed and were stuck in the fully opened position. The fuel injectors were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,754.

2017 KIA OPTIMA- Springfield , OH
1.) What component or system failed or malfunctioned? Engine failure due to excessive oil consumption and/or a malfunctioning Knock Sensor Detection System (KSDS). •The engine failed at only 50,000 miles due to internal issues. •The KSDS system triggered a flashing check engine light, but Kia refuses to cover the repair despite known past issues. •Kia engineers and the dealership confirmed the engine failure but are denying warranty coverage. ? The vehicle is currently at the dealership and available for inspection. 2.) How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? •A flashing check engine light appeared, indicating possible catastrophic engine failure while driving. •Loss of engine function on the road could have led to an accident. •The KSDS system was designed to prevent this type of failure, but it failed to stop the damage in time. •If the engine had completely failed at highway speeds, it could have created a dangerous situation. 3.) Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? ? Yes, the issue was confirmed by the Kia dealership. •The dealership confirmed that the engine has failed and needs to be replaced. •A tech line case was opened with Kia engineers, who confirmed the failure. •Kia refuses to cover the repair, claiming it is a "top-end failure" instead of a "rod bearing failure." 4?.) Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? ? Yes, it was inspected by the Kia dealership and Kia engineers. •A tech line case was created, and Kia engineers reviewed the issue. •Kia admitted that the engine failed but refused to cover the repair under warranty. 5.) Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? ? Yes, a flashing check engine light appeared due to the Knock Sensor Detection System (KSDS). •The same warning code had previously appeared while

2021 KIA SOUL- COLUMBIA, MD
[XXX], driving down highway [XXX] the car lost power. I was able to start it up again but was misfiring where I drove it home. I had it towed on March 12 to Koon Kia Service, 9610 Reistertown Road, Owings Mill, MD 21117-4128. On Friday, March 14, 2025 I spoke with Blaine in the Service department and he said I after a diagnostic my car indicates that I need a new engine to repair my car. Today, I called and spoke with Blaine and told him about the recall SC336 and he said the was no remedy for this recall. 2020 KIA TELLURIDE- Covington, LA
The sunroof deflector tabs broke off and jammed the sunroof open. The sunroof is loose and I don’t feel safe driving the vehicle because it may dislodge and become a projectile.
