2020 KIA SORENTO- Richmond Hill, GA
All of the adas not working. The wheel sensor right rear quit working and causes all the advanced safety systems to quit working. Had the left rear sensor to go out this year. I am [XXX] and do not feel safe driving without these safety systems working. No urgency to fix the issue. Vehicle under Warranty with 48980 miles. I HAVE THE SNOW WHITE PAINT, AND IT IS PEELING IN SEVERAL AREAS. HOOD, ROOF, AND SECTION THAT GOES FROM FENDER TO ROOF.

2014 KIA SORENTO- Denton, NC
The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the engine started to overheat with the check engine and power steering warning lights illuminated. The temperature gauge indicated that the vehicle was running hot(H). There was white smoke coming from the engine. Due to the failure, the contact pulled over and initially had the vehicle towed to the. The vehicle was later towed to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the head gasket was blown and needed to be replaced. While attempting to repair the vehicle, the contact was informed that the rod bearings were also defective and that the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.

2019 KIA NIRO- San Francisco, CA
The contact owns a 2019 Kia Niro. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that there was a misfire in cylinder #1. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the cylinder #4 injector. The dealer also informed the contact that the clutch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,000.

2012 KIA OPTIMA- Hickory, NC
My 2012 Kia optima headlamps are extremely dim, even though I’ve replaced the lightbulbs with the highest possible lumens, multiple times, the headlamp assembly continues to dim. This requires that I ride with my high-beams on to drive at night. The lights have been dimming for more than 20,000 miles, but they are almost useless at this point.

2017 KIA SOUL- spanish fork, UT
09/06/2024 MY KIA SOUL ENGINE BROKE DOWN TOWED TO A MECHANIC SHOP AND DETERMINED IT NEEDED A NEW ENGINE, DUE TO A RECALL THAT WAS ISSUED BEFORE MY OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE. KIA DECLINES DOING THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT UNDER THE 150,000 WARRANTY, DUE TO THE RECALL NEVER BEING TAKEN CARE OF. SPOKE TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM AND AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THEY HAD NO RECORD OF A RECALL BEING PRESENT ON THE VEHICLE. ATTACHED IS VEHICLES CARFAX AND DATES OF INCIDENTS.

The contact owns a 2017 Kia Sorento. The contact stated while driving at approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle stalled and failed to return to normal operation. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact researched and was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V586000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 104,100.

The contact owns a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the engine. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V224000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The VIN was included but had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

2014 KIA CADENZA- Palatka, FL
The contact owns a 2014 Kia Cadenza. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in a recall 23V652000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and was taken to the dealer for the recall repair. After the repair was completed, while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated before accelerating. The contact stated that on several occasions the vehicle was shifted into reverse and then driven before accelerating as intended. Additionally, the sunroof was leaking. The vehicle was taken to SAFELITE Auto Glass, and the contact was informed that there was no adhesive glue on the top of the windshield from the driver to the passenger’s side, causing a slight detachment. The contact was also informed that the sunroof had severe rusting around the seal due to rain being able to leak from the lack of adhesive. The rust caused the handle for the sunroof to detach. The windshield had been replaced by SAFELITE Auto Glass. The failure persisted and the vehicle was returned to SAFELITE Auto Glass, and the windshield was replaced a second time 3 years later. The contact stated that due to the water leak, the dashboard started bubbling and eventually burst resulting in a hole being formed. The windshield had been replaced. The contact learned the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V158000 (Visibility). The vehicle had been taken to the dealer who had replaced the dashboard and removed the cup attached to the windshield and installed a defrosting sensor. The contact stated that the leak persisted. The contact had learned that the windshield should have been replaced instead of just the sensor. The vehicle had begun to display a message asking for the driver to comply however, it was unclear exactly what the vehicle was referencing. The vehicle was returned to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that after retrieving the vehicle, the contact became aware that the dealer had only driven the vehicle 1 mile, and the contact believed it was not long e

2014 KIA SORENTO- San Antonio, TX
The contact owned a 2014 Kia Sorento. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, it had caught fire causing the entire vehicle to burst into flames, from the front end to the rear end. The fire department was called and extinguish the fire. The fire department determined the fire had started from the engine. A police report was filed. There were no injuries and no medical attention needed. The fire caused damage to both vehicles on each side of the vehicle, the parking space, and the building the vehicle was parked in front of. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 101,430.
