The vehicle stalled while driving. I pulled over because as I press on the gas the car wouldn’t accelerate in speed . I turned the vehicle off and tried to start the car but it wouldn’t start . I was stranded on side the road for 4 hours to get a tow truck tow the vehicle to the Lexus dealer. No warning signs or indicators. Believe to the the fuel pump being bad and causing the issue.

I am not writing about my car. I am writing about many other cars coming toward me at night with VERY BRIGHT headlights. There ought to be a law against multiple headlights, very bright headlights, headlights that shine directly into the eyes of oncoming vehicles. What is being done about this? I would like a reply to my concern. I live on an island with one two lane road north to south. There is no way to avoid oncoming traffic. The system which has intermittent failure on my 2017 Lexus GS350 is the lane keeping assistance safety option. The system seems to work almost perfectly on straight highways. But highways with curves seem to fail at about a 50% rate and human intervention is quickly required. The car is available for inspection and demonstration of the system failure on a nearby winding road. My safety and my wife's safety were put at risk when I realized that my car was heading for a curb and not making ANY correction. I have not taken it to a dealer or any other kind of diagnostic facility. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance company or anyone else. The system only has an amber warning on the dash when it detects no human inputs to the steering wheel or (I think) pressure on the steering wheel rim. There is also a dash warning when the system detects left/right lane marking swerves and it flashes "Stop for a Rest". I bought the car as a Lexus Certified Used Car just after hurricane Ian here in southwest Florida after my previous Lexus got flooded. Early on I noticed the lane departure and the lane assist on some rare instances did not respond properly. Since the car did not come with any owner manuals I could not determine whether I had not set the systems properly or not. And since the hurricane, I have not traveled long distances frequently with the car to determine a failure pattern. My son has a Lexus with similar features too but does not trust them. He said to have the dealer disable them.

A common problem with these Lexus ct200h, as well as Toyota Prius V models, are that the brake accumulators begin to leak internally, as they share the same part numbers. Therefore, the actuator pumpwill buzz every few seconds trying to keep pressure in the braking system to a safe operating level of gas pressure,to no avail due tothisleak inthe accumulator. After it quits buzzing, say shutting the car off, you can hear the air leak “hiss”pressure away. as you may know tons and tons of articles on this issue online as this is a major safety concern. Many have had Toyota replace the part free of charge as well due to the extended 10 year, or 150k miles, in whichever comes first. warranty. This may be perhaps because there are several more prius on the road than this rare Lexus 200h Just look up “c1391 danger” and see what comes up. I’m not trying to get [XXX], but in my opinion, as well as many, it is pathetic that an issue in which endangers the lives of others due this brake failure is not further addressed. There is Not much stopping distances when and after this suddenly occurs. In the process, the abs, traction control, brake, a yellow exclamation mark, lights suddenly all come on the dash at once and the brake feels like a sponge very suddenly, as it did me with my 4 year old daughter in the car seat. There are no external brake fluid leaks involved. for this actuator. Toyota covers it under extended warranty, although it appears as though Lexus does not(?), this is a major safety hazard and concern for a heavy amount on several different websites. The trouble code is.: C1391. If I can find the article, it happened to a lady after losing control and crashed because of this, so she went to Lexus and drives something else now. Also, I went to The Lexus of Louisville today and he said “nope” no recalls, after looking my vin #up. It would rather be an extended warranty, first of all I’d think. - Kansas City, MO

When the passenger side radiant heat is on, it makes a toxic smell that smells like plastic or glue melting. It has happened in our RZ and also in a loaner RZ (VIN [XXX] ). Lexus has done nothing that we are aware of to ensure that this smell is not affecting passenger side airbags or the integrity of the cars. They’re also hiding in their notes that they have experienced the smell. I took the Service Manager Jon Howell on a drive in both cars and he smelled the melting smell and agreed he understood why I was describing it as melted hot glue or plastic. However, those drives are not documented in the service notes. I am concerned this is a flaw in the car for which the impact of safety is unknown. Further testing must be done to ensure these cars are safe after the radiant heat is used and the smell has occurred. The smell is constant any and all times the radiant heat is engaged. We have experienced the smell at least ten times in our car. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
