LEXUS Complaints

I have a 2019 LS500 I’ve been hearing noise from my tires and Also my tire shredded literally at 3k miles. It took manufacture 6 months after that to recall all 4 tires. I was very scared to drive the car. When it happened I was going 80. The car swerved all over the highway. If there had been a car near me it most likely would have been fatal. The absolute most terrifying experience I have ever been through. I feel they should have replaced all the sorry [XXX] run-flats way sooner I drive all over us. Buying this Lexus 500 LS has this far been a horrible DANGEROUS mistake. I need this problem fixed or I need my full money back. The contact owns a 2015 Lexus IS250. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the radio was inoperable. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that electrical connections located in the trunk space were submerged in water. The cause of the water intrusion was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and advised the contact to schedule a service appointment. The contact was concerned that with the electrical connections submerged in water, it could cause a fire and safety hazard. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 69,000.

225/40R18 front and 255/35R18 rear on 2 separate incidents. Both times slow leaks lead to finding tires separating. Called Bridgestone and they assured me of no known issues with tires which I'm now finding extremely hard to believe. This has to be a safety issue at the very least. The attached photos should prove my point. First set purchased in 2021 (thought it was a fluke). Then the second set in 2023. Both times separation was facing in towards the body of car, so one wouldn't notice unless underneath the car or tire removed. I even purchased the lifetime wheel alignment in between and had them aligned regularly, so that rules that out.

There is oil leak from timing belt casing. Only have 71000 miles on the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2004 Lexus SC430. The contact stated while driving at 35 MPH, the radio was activated and there was an abnormal sound coming from the antenna. The contact noticed the antenna hanging off the holster and structuring the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 159,000.

The contact owns a 2011 Lexus RX450H. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The ABS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic; however, the vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle warranty had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 121,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Lexus LS460. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed and extended to the floorboard. The contact stated that the ABS, brake, and Traction Control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the ABS module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.

Substantial Fire Hazard - Fuel was leaking directly onto the engine due to a failure in the fuel line and the factory coating between the inner steel tubing and a plastic coating. The failure relates to the delaminating of the coating from the base metal material which causes a channel for the fuels to bypass the seals and then leak out of fracture points in the plastic coating.

The contact owns a 2023 Lexus RX350. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, the sunroof suddenly fractured without impact. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the sunroof needed to be replaced but the repair was not covered under warranty. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.
